With my Bricolage quilt my second finish for 2012, I decided to celebrate by
taking it on its first photo shoot!
(Warning: Photo-heavy post follows.......)
Helen and I spent a fun hour or two at The Briars, in Mount Martha.
Hey, someone is running away with my quilt! Now for the close -ups! |
Great staging idea Helen- those acorn caps! |
And some of my favourite blocks.....
The back and the binding! |
Ooops! It's on its side! |
Can you tell I love this quilt?
And a back lit shot......
And while we were out walking look what we saw....
I told him I'd be back when my next overseas visitors arrive!
And one lasting parting look!

Puh-leeeez, no photo heavy warning necessary. So much beautiful eye candy! That quilt is to die for! Every little detail is fantastic from the colors, to the blocks, to the stitching. I love it!
Awesome Suz, I particularly love the first block in the close up shots. Gorgeous colours.

Love, love, love it! The hand quilting looks divine, and I love the colours. If it needs a good home, I'd be happy to oblige ;)
That is a great quilt Susan and what a fun time you must have had doing the photoshoot and you certainly got some great photos. Take care.

Wow! That wagon shot is spectacular. :D Love the colors and the hand stitching.
This is such a beautiful quilt and your photos are fab!
beautiful! great shots, wish i could meet a wallaby!
Holy cow, look at that quilt! Beautiful. We had someone bring a sick Wallaby into one of the vet clinics I used to work at, here in the states. I did a HUGE double-take. I think our vet did a pretty good job, considering it wasn't an exotics clinic. :P
What an amazing quilt! I absolutely love it!!
Gorgeous colors, gorgeous scenery, and beautiful blocks. I love the hand quilting.
Gorgeous. Your quilt looks wonderful. Love all the colours and the blocks. Lovely stitching. Looks like you had a bit of fun with your photo shoot, too.
What gorgeous colours you have used in your quilt. Love it.
It is just beautiful, I love it. Thank you for sharing all the pictures. That location is wonderful too, looks like you had a fun photo shoot.
Oh it's gorgeous Suz, love the colours so much! And what fabulous photos - I can tell you had a ball doing these. Hope this is centre stage on your couch (or bed) right now!
What a beautiful post! Your quilt is lovely....I have one that is so similar ...made from blocks swapped over the internet in the same colors. I especially like your flying geese in the two corners. Seeing your beautiful Australian landscape is awesome, Suz. Thanks for not leaving out a single shot!
Gorgeous quilt. Such lovely fabric choices!
Lovely quilt and fantastic photo shoot. Love the snap as the quilt is running away the colours are perfect, such great contrast.
Beautiful quilt - such a nice assortment of blocks and the lovely handstitching really makes it special!
I'm so glad to see this finished quilt. I had so admired your fabric and colour choices earlier. We share a great attraction to these colours. For me I think it stems back to when I was a child and every year when I got new keds (or something like them), they had to be lime green and the reason was because when I was swinging and was high in the air, I liked to hold my feet up so I could enjoy the look of the bright green of my sneakers against the bright blue of the sky. Silly but I have always loved this particular colour combo.
The quilt is a beaut regardless! Congrats!
LOVE your quilt, Suz! Very pretty quilting too!
