Blog-anniversary!
Yes, it's been one year since I started blogging and I haven't regretted it for one minute!
(I must declare -this wasn't my original 'home'; I did have another blog name for a few months to 'test the waters', as they say!)
I have made some wonderful friends...
And won some fantastic prizes!
So now it's my turn to 'share the love'!
Now I will be first to admit... I have lots of fabric.....nearly thirty years worth!
But most of it is in odd bits and shapes and sizes...
What some quilters might call rubbish scraps!
So I have been cutting....
And cutting....(with my new ruler!)
And cutting...
And this is what I've come up with!
Two stacks of 5 inch squares....
(proviso: they are NOT laser/precision cut squares, my stash is nearly 30 years old, my eyes are MUCH older!)
One in a red/blue palette, one in 'Autumn' tones.
Each stack contains at least 15 different fabrics and weigh nearly 200 grams!

You don't need to jump through hoops to win, or to even be a follower!
( I never dreamed I'd have 60 followers by this stage, anyway!)
Please leave a comment telling me your favourite way to use scraps and which colour
palette you prefer.

Giveaway is open until Saturday, midday (Eastern Australian time) and I'll randomly draw the winners...
I'll post their names soon after!

Congrats on the anniversary. I love the fabrics you have offered. I would have to choose the autumn stack. I sew from my scraps all the time. I love the look of multi-colored scrappy quilts. Here's to another good year.
I'm into the red/blue pallette, and I just got that new book "Natural Patchwork" and am planning to use up some scraps with some of those patterns! I think 5" squares are great - I just started my first quilt with a charm pack!
Happy blogoversary! I love your blue/red bundle. Thanks for sharing the love x
Happy Anniversary! I like the way you are sharing your precious 'vintage' stash! I love both colour stacks, though if I have to pick one it would be the blue stack. That would make a lovely wall hanging. Thanks for the chance. Enjoy your next year of blogging!
Happy Blogiversary! I'd choose the red/blue stack. Thanks so much! :)
Wow Suz!! Happy Blogiversary!!! It's been a fun year following along with all of your sewing and travelling.
Well, you know me.... I'd have to make "something" for one of the little people in my life or perhaps a nice throw just for me!! or maybe another bag!! now, that would be nice! I love the red/blue theme,
So congratulations!
Happy Sewing,
Helen
I'd choose the red/blue colorway, but I also like the oranges. Either is fine. Congrats on your anniversary of blogging!
What a great giveaway! Congrats on your blogiversary. I like both colorways but I think I'd prefer the blue and red!
I love using scraps for patchwork quilts and smaller projects. :)
I have been working on a scrap quilt for a while now, and I really could use the autumn palette! :) Thank you!
Congratulations on your blogiversary! I love making scrap quilts and prefer the red/blue stack. Thanks for the chance!
Happy Blogiversary! I love scrappy quilts. It's so fun to use lots of different fabrics to make quilts or tote bags. Thanks for the great giveaway. I like the blue/red pack :-)
I love scrappy quilts--I am certain tht is where they would go, if my daughter doesn't beat me to them first. Either color would be lovely (if you are shipping to the US that is). Congratulations--mine is coming up pretty soon, too.
Such pretty fabrics, congratulations on your anniversary. I found you via your scrappy stars tutorial so I would probably use them for a project like that. Both are delicious, but the red and aqua bundle is my favorite.
Allie
Such beautiful fabric - but I would have taken them without all the cutting. Love the blue/red and they would work up so pretty in a wonky star - being the centers.
Happy Blogiversary!!! What lovely stacks of fabric yumminess!! I'd have to toss a coin to say which colour I liked, both look wonderful. I have my scrap container under my cutting desk where I can see it and easily pull bits out. Sometimes I just sew them all together, I've made a few quilts that way. Mug rugs are good scrap busters too.
Happy Blogiversary!
Both packs are lovely :D
Thanks for the chance!
Suz - so hard to choose, but I absolutely love anything red so I'd have to go with that one. But oh, that autumn is luscious. Why do you make these decisious so hard?
Hugs - Marie
Congratulations!! Thank you for the giveaway and for all the hard work cutting those squares - I love the look of the blue and red one. I love to use scraps in quilts - not very original I know but I have just been watching some of Elennor Burns videos on her website and one that I like is using 5" squares and I don't have enough scraps to start it yet! Best wishes C

I love to sew bags, ansd make doll quilts. i am just a beginner quilter and in doll quilts you can try a new pattern and learn a lot.
Good afternoon and thanks for the chance! There is a prarie points baby quilt pattern Ive been wanting to make from the Moda bakeshop which uses 5" squares. Which ever stach has the boldest, brightess colors is my choice. Thanks!

Hi Suz, Congratulations on your anniversary. I love the blue/red bundle and would use them to make a quilt for my new grandson who is due in June.
Scrap quilts are my favorite. I have to say, between the two stacks, I would choose the red & blue palette, mainly because I love the fabric that's right on top...adorable!
Suz - if you are posting to the USA, then this is my entry. Congratulations on your anniversary. I like working with older fabrics and the red/blue charms. Thanks for sharing - know your fabrics will be so different from ours here. Would make a scrappy quilt, perhaps a baby quilt for our to-be-born grandniece. Thanks for the tour of your fabrics.
Well done, one year in blogland is worth celebrating. I wonder how much fabric is left from 30 years ago. I would use the autumn colours for an autumn applique I am working on. Thanks for the giveaway.
Congrats on one year. I too am really glad I discovered blogs and blogging! The autumn tones would be my favourite - thanks for the chance and keep on blogging!
Happy blogavesary Suz! I love scrappy quilts, the more different fabrics the better. I would choose the Autumn stack, thanks for cutting into your lovely fabric and sharing!

Congratulations on your Anniversary! They are all Gorgeous fabrics... I would choose the Autumn one. I am just getting into quilting, so don't have enough scraps yet to do much...and what I do have, I'm always digging thru to make something for my young kids stuffed animals... When I have enough scraps I would love to make a scrap quilt. Thanks for a chance to win!
My favourite kind of quilts are scrap quilts. I could make good use of some nice blue/red scraps!
Happy Anniversary! Definitely something to celebrate! If I'm lucky enough to be selected as winner I would prefer the red/blue palette. I like using scraps to make all sorts of quilted treasures.

What a great giveaway. I prefer the autumn colors and would use them in using my new "Lil Twister" tool which uses 5 inch squares. Thanks for the opportunity to win ready-cut fabric.
Congratulations on your anniversary! I usually use scraps to make table toppers and have made some beautiful pieces. I love blue! Thanks for the chance!!
Today I think the redsss are calling me....grin.
Thanks!
Happy Blog Anniversary! I like the red/blue palette. I haven't gathered enough scraps yet to do anything.
Happy Blog-iversary! I don't think I'd be able to choose a stack! Hmmm....I think I would be forced to go with the autumn one! Thanks for the giveaway. :)
I love the autumn fabrics and my favorite way to use scraps is for applique!
How nice of you to have a giveaway. I definitely like the autumn tones. I haven't done much with scraps yet. I am still building my supply but I really like crazy blocks with embellished seams. I would probably use the squares to make a table cloth.
How generous of you! I would love the red and blue squares; my brother just entered boot camp and I'd like to make a little something for his daughter who is missing him terribly.
Congrats on your blogiversary!
