Decisions, decisions.....

I have been participating in the Mouthy Stitches 

Swap,

 ably organised by Cindy, Susan and Hadley.....

I stalked my partner's Flick'r photostream and blog....

And jumped right in!

This is what I made!

I was feeling pretty chuffed with how it looked....

Until I started seeing amazing paper pieced, 

embroidered and quilted creations on Flick'r!

So I went back to the drawing board....

the back....

And made another!

I am seriously thinking of sending both!

But I know that is against the rules!

Embroidery added to a Flying Circle of Geese block....

Why do I do this to myself!

Thank goodness making the key fob made me happy!

I know it has to be my decision....

But I'd love your feedback!

Really Random Thursday....

Some snippets from my week....

Reading in the Spring Melbourne sunshine...

A new lounge suite....

Castle Tiles is there on the left... final reveal still to come!

Pity I decided to gift my Castle Tiles quilt before I 

realised what a great match it was!

Maybe I have WAY too many quilts anyway!

The fire department was called out to a false 

alarm.....

MrPnP made THE most delicious

 Lemoncello Tiramisu....

and I started another bag for the 

Mouthy Stitches Swap!

All in all, a great week....

It is better to give....

than it is to receive!

I did some secret sewing recently,

and these are now living with my dear friend Mary.

A covered notebook....

And a wee pincushion,

inspired blatantly copied from what I saw @ 

Nanacompany!

I hope they bring as much pleasure as I had in 

making them....

Now, I need some information.....

Do any of my lovely readers know the name of this 

fabric....

Or where I might get a small piece?

I need about a 12" square to include in my

 Museum Medallion quilt!

I'm sure we could strike a deal!

And I would be eternally grateful.....

Medallion Makeover!

I wasn't feeling the love for the centre star for my 

Museum Medallion quilt.....

I felt that some of the diamond pieces read too much 

as solids, 

and I didn't want all that blue!

So its had a makeover....

I am much happier with this!

 I then started the next round of pieces...

Pretty?

Yes, but this one took me nearly an hour of hand 

stitching!

So I am now officially cheating!

This is the next round.....

being machine pieced!

Don't think too harshly of me.....

At least I now feel I have achieved something!

back to the hand sewing....

I loved making these.....

 ...they came together so easily!

Tuesday Treasure.....

I haven't posted a Tuesday Treasure for a while....

Today I am remembering and treasuring my Mum....

Mum and I on her 88th birthday

She has been gone from my life for over six years 

now...

It would have been here 95th birthday today.....

But this is her on her wedding day, nearly 70 years 

ago!

I miss her every day....

I dedicate this song to her....
