Doily Bags

I gave you a sneak peek of this project recently...

But forgot to show you the finished product!

As well as making a doily quilt,

I had some larger, more special ones that needed

showcasing more!

This one has been claimed by my sister...

So a second one was planned...

and made!

The back,

and the inside with a pocket which is hard to see!

I want to make some more with these...

so I am considering other sayings:

"Happiness is...Op Shopping"

"Get Your Sparkle On"

"Treat Yourself"

"Make a Difference"

"Reward Yourself"

Do you prefer any of these over others?

Or do you have any suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Happy sewing,

Liberty and Kantha

I have a reasonably large stash of Liberty fabrics.

So when I saw a Liberty + Kantha stitch-along happening on Instagram, the idea really appealed to me.

I cut two and a half inch squares and pieced two panels to make a 241 tote bag from Noodlehead.

I backed each piece with some fusible batting and started stitching.

It was the perfect holiday project, in the car and in the sunshine!

I prepared the side and pocket panels before I went on holiday.

The glorious sun shining through really inspired me!

I was excited to return home and piece the bag together....

And before I knew it, it was finished!

It turned out just as I imagined!

Happy days!

A panel of Liberty patchwork for a 241 tote bag.....

which I'm hoping to hand quilt!

Heart blocks for Christchurch....

and blocking the hand knitted baby blanket, in

preparation for backing.

And my next knitting project waiting to be cast on

Finally, I am

toying with the idea of making something for
