a MCM Bee block for Mary....
made from this tutorial.
to be made into quilts,
to help heal violence against women.....
made from this tutorial.
this zippy pouch to Julie,
happy to know it arrived safely!
And receiving these "Pips" blocks...
part of the round robin I am participating in.
What should I add?
Maybe some inspiration can be found in this book,
borrowed from my local library!
I love the blocks, expecially that star block!!
I can't wait to sew the blocks for Mary! The book looks good....I love good branding. Can't wait to see how it inspires!
The Starry Sky block is in my "to do" pile and I'm thrilled to be done with one Lola Pouch - thanks for the inspiration. That pattern took tricky turns, but at the end of the day was really easy - thanks for sharing the info.
Love the pouch and that cheery polka dot binding! You always have such a nice mix of things going on.
My pouch is just beautiful - I must take a photo and post it too. Thank you once again:)
Beautiful piecing! Lovely blocks!
I love that star block, might have to take a look at that tutorial, the library is such a great source for books and it is free as well.
So many lovely makes - the pouch is especially beautiful!
So many beauiful goodies.
Isn't it always fun to do our bee blocks. I'm always happy when they are done tho. Very satisfying ; )
Your blocks are perfect. Beautiful one for the Mid Century quilt
What a nice bunch of pretty makes!
Lovely blocks all round but I especially like the first one. Vibrant colours and so many wonderful background fabrics.
So I gather you have to add something to the chair block? What about a lamp, or window with venetian blinds - - just reminds me of that era.
Those MCM blocks make my heart go pitter pat! I'm sure whatever you add will be awesome!
Mary picked a neat block for MCMB, didn't she? And those X blocks are really nice... and for such a good cause. And the pouch is darling too. Isn't it nice to sew small, easy projects once in a while? You do it so nicely!
I love the fabric choices.
Love the fabrics in your MCM block. Need to get mine done. End of the month as usual for me.
fun post - I love your star blocks. Those backgrounds are inspired!
Lots of great giving and receiving in this post. That book looks very inspiring. Libraries are the best for fresh ideas from all sorts of books.
I love those wonky stars
Your beautiful block arrived - thank you Susan!!
Beautiful blocks. I really enjoyed Mary's block. It seems that with every member, every month, you all pick such great blocks and have beautiful ideas that I want to make a copycat quilt.
Always fun to see what's coming out of the PatchworknPlay Workshop!
I love the block line-up and the sweet little pouch for a friend. And what a great idea to get a graphic arts book to generate ideas for your quilt!
