My secret garden

I was desperate to sew, but a fuzzy, sleepy head

couldn't cope with anything too taxing!

I bought this printed panel in France...

and knew I wanted to make a cushion.

The outer fabric I purchased at the same time.

The pink spot was in my stash...

And the hand stitching was the perfect way,

to wile away a wintery evening!

These are the sewing related souvenirs

I purchased while I was away...

Do you think I could find a place to buy the quilting magazines they have in England?

The fabric, in green and yellow,

reminded me of Australia.

And aren't the V&A scissors earrings the cutest?

Happy days!

SUZ

ps I see I now have 400 followers and over 500 posts- might be time for a giveaway?

I agree with Deborah that your shopping was very restrained,Suz! What a cute cushion you will have to remember your trip by. Is that a little flower bag next to the thread?...so cute...do tell!

That cushion is the greatest. Did you add any extra embroidery stitching to it - or was that all just panel? Looks like a wonderful little collection of goodies to remind you of your time away. That mag looks fun - many are available as online magazines... although not as satisfying as the real thing!

Those scissor earrings ARE the cutest. I looked and looked for an affordable souvenir in London when we were there last, and just couldn't break out my wallet to pay those prices. Now maybe if I'd seen those. . .

Love your cushion. Perfect!

I beautiful way to highlight memories and treasures from your trip away. The printed panel would make a good stitchery project too if a little larger.
