I've had these ready for a
Sew Together Bag for quite some time.
So I decided to 'bite the bullet'!
I'd had read about the lack of visuals in the pattern,
so found the sew along at The Quilt Barn.

and was happy to get it completed today!

That bag scares me - I would be looking for a sew-along too. Without one I would definitely get something back to front, upside down or inside out. Sigh.
What colour to make the next one? Well, this is cool colours, so why not warm pinks and reds?

You know I love this little bag you made! I can't wait to work on one myself ;) Thanks for the tip on the sew-along. The colors and fabrics you used in this bag are so perfect. I love the way you combine fabrics. And it must not have been too bad since you are thinking of another one...hmmmm....how about some cute Japanese fabrics????

Great job! And they are addictive little suckers. I've made a half dozen and keep finding more reasons to make them... I made 2 for the upcoming school year. Hopefully my students will think it's cool that I've made my own pencil case and not think hmmm, that's the mad teacher who quilts everything...! lol.
It's beautiful Suze. Like a virus, these are popping up everywhere to inspire us to make it. I have the pattern, I'm just waiting for some zips to arrive. I couldn't find any 9 inch zips here but I guess you could use a 10 and cut it down. I heard you can't stop at one.

Darling! Darling. Susan. Your colors are yummy. And the next one... just one color? Oh no. You must mix up colors as you did with this one. So glad the extra instructions from Quilt Barn were helpful to you. Wish I'd known about them when I made mine. Perhaps I wouldn't have such a negative impression of this pattern. How do you plan to use your bag? I haven't yet used mine.
