Well, there was no Plan A!
This, however, is the plan for my turn for the
Mid-Century Modern Bee...
a paper pieced AMH Feather!
I made one last year and loved how it looked!
I made one last year and loved how it looked!
And it has been on my 'to-do' list all year....
Once I had this colour palette in my mind....
but so few of the fabrics to make it with,
I decided to enlist the help of my bee buddies!
So sure I was of making this quilt, I had bought 3+
yards of background solid...
(but have no idea of its name/shade!)
It is somewhere between a grey and a beige.
I cut and sent a piece to all my ladies,
with two little parcels
taking less than four days
(Melbourne to California)
to get there!
So now I am asking for one feather,
foundation pieced to
save on fabric, using this tutorial!
In fact, Linda has already made one!
Thank you Linda- its perfect!
Here's one I made earlier.....
I am really loving being the Queen Bee of May!
Happy sewing!
