These blocks have been on the back burner for a
while....
So I decided they needed some loving!
I enlarged the original pattern to make it a
13" X 5.5" block.
I do enjoy the construction of them...
a nine patch first, as seen here across the
diagonal.
Then the corner pieces, which involves a little
pivoting....
Is that a 'y' seam or a partial one?
I'm never sure ...
And here they are, all together.
I'll leave you with this 'sneak peek' of a quilt I've
just picked up from Karen,
my wonderful long armer.
More will be revealed in July!
Happy sewing!

Love your enlarged glitter blocks! I’ve made some Glitter blocks in the original size, and yes, even a slight y seam is a y seam!
Baptist fans are among my most favourite quilting patterns!
Lovely blocks, and they are easier to make than I thought.
I've never seen that block before. Looks great!
Oh wow! You've gotten back to this again, and it's looking great! How DO you do that piecing?! After making just one block, I think it's a struggle to get it right. Maybe your enlargement helps. I still want to do this, but it's on the back burner for a while. Your longarmer does lovely work.
I love those blocks. That's a lot of pivoting.
Lovely blocks Susan, they look tricky to sew.
Those are great blocks!!! Y seam or partial seam....I tend to avoid them both ;-))
Beautiful blocks Susan - they look great in the larger size!
I love those blocks - the colours are very pretty. Looking forward to seeing your finished quilt.
I love that Glitter Block - are you machine piecing it?
oh I do love those blocks. Such pretty colors you have going on too.
That is a very lovely block......
Oh this block is very cool! I like the colors too :)
Those blocks are definitely on my list for 2016.I purchased the templates but they are so much smaller than I thought they would be--so I want to enlarge, like yours. Beautiful fabrics.
These are great blocks. Love the way they link in together. Very effective.
Lovely quilting on your July reveal, too.
Every time I see it is gorgeous locks being made I want to start a quilt of my own just like it
