to add this quilt to my recent 'to-do' list!
But I'm pleased to say its finished now!
I used a free pattern found here...
at Cloud 9 Fabrics if you'd like to make one of your
own!
I don't like many traditional Christmas fabrics,
(We don't get much snow in Australia at Christmas,
you know!)

so I'm happy with the understated look of these.
I hand quilted with a green Anchor perle thread I
And bound it with a matching green fabric I found in
my stash!

The backing is, of course, from my stash too.
Finished size 22.5" X 28"
I'll pop this "Christmas Present" quilt away for a
couple of months, and then
hang it on my wall for Christmas!
Happy sewing!

That came out adorable! I'm still working on sewing for fall!
I like the way this has turned out. I think the fabrics work really well. This will look great when displayed for Christmas.
Love this quilt, it looks great with your hand quilting. I also like the way you put those corner things on the back for the quilt hanger to slot into, What a great idea.
Love the hand quilting on this.
Gorgeous. I love those reindeer on bicycles! It would be great if there was a little more summer-Christmas fabric about for those of us who don't have snow at Christmas :-)
What a nice finish. I like those cardinals, straight from Ohio.
What a fabulous Christmas quilt! It's so fun with the packages! Too good to forget :)
Love it Suz! yes, most Christmas fabrics really don't look right here in Australia! I can see this quilt made in all spots and stripes too.... hmmmm, yet another project on the "to do" list :-) I love your hand quilting too.
What a lovely Christmas quilt. I'm not a fan of Christmas fabrics either. This quilt is just right.
What a fun festive quilt, and it's so close to Christmas you don't really need to put it away. The fabrics you've used are perfect for our summery Christmases. I love the way you've made a feature of the handquilting on this quilt.
Your fabric choices are always perfect! I especially love the hand quilting using green, so different and fresh. Thanks for sharing.
I'm in awe of how organized you are! Always planning ahead, and seeming to get so much done. You're a whiz at hand quilting. This is really special, Susan, and I know it will look fabulous hanging in your home.
So many fun fabrics in that lovely little quilt. I'm with you - don't like fabric with snow.
Super cute quilt! Love the hand-quilting you did. The concept of a warm Christmas is so strange to someone on the opposite end of the globe.
Love those Charlie Harper fabrics!
I saw a booth yesterday at the quilt show where a woman used the Charlie Harper designs to make beautiful patterns for wall quilts. Since I rarely sew from a pattern, I didn't buy anything, but wished I could have take some photos. Your use of the Charlie Harper fabrics is perfect in this Christmas wallhanging, and I loved seeing how you fussy cut them to work. Great job!

I love all the fabrics you have used in this quilt! And Charley Harper is quite amazing. I love the graphic style of his designs.
You had too many great choices on your to-do list.
Like you, I am not a fan of many Christmas fabrics (ironic, as I was sewing a very traditional Christmas bee block for a friend this evening, but we do that for friends, right?) but I really like this. Your lovely cardinal fabric makes another appearance!
Love your hand quilting. Do you use a hoop? I'd like to try it one of these days.
