Thank you Amy for hosting this wonderful event...
Some of my regular followers may have already seen
my "Castle Tiles" quilt here...
Today I reveal it quilted and bound!
I loved making this quilt!
I had taken a long time to decide what pattern would
I had taken a long time to decide what pattern would
best suit this amazing "Echo" fabric!
So when I saw this pattern, by Bec @ Chasing
in an Australian quilting magazine,
I was away!
I made some slight alterations to the original, putting
in corner stones and extra borders...
I kept the quilting to a minimum, because it involved
lots of twisting and turning....
You can see it a little better here...
I guess you could call it "echo" quilting!
I love the spotted binding and
the geometric type backing....
I have someone in mind who this will be gifted to,
even if it is a perfect fit with my new lounge suite!

That is gorgeous! What a great way to feature Echo - my half yard bundle is still untouched because I can't decide how to use it. Your border is clever too.
Beautiful quilt and I love your added border!
A very stylish quilt! I really like the corner stones and sashing in your quilt, they showcase the blocks beautifully. I think it will be hard for you to let this one go, it looks great with your couch!!
This quilt looks so perfect in your home it will be difficult to give away. It is lovely and deserves a spot in the winners circle
What a great quilt. You have obviously put a lot of thought into it and it really shows.
Love your 'extras' to the quilt design. This is absolutely gorgeous!
Very nice - I love the fabric you chose for the background!
This really DOES look good draped right where it is. I still haven't used Bella fabric. You did a beautiful job with this quilt!
Fabulous Susan! I just love that fabric line.
What a lovely use of Echo! It just goes SO nice with your furniture, I agree!!
Gorgeous quilt - such a perfect pattern for the Echo! It looks just right on your lounge too.
Beautiful! I love the background you picked that works so well with Echo and lets it show off as well! Gorgeous quilt.
I have enjoyed watching this quilt and it is so nice to see it all finished! I love that you echo quilted the Echo, and this is just the best way to show off the fabrics. The cornerstones are also great, reminds me of my tile like quilt a bit. I think it is wonderful.
Lovely quilt. I love the way you have personalised it - the extra borders are a great touch.
I love the Echo collection, and you have totally done it justice with this quilt. Very beautiful. The pieced border is stunning as well. Thanks for your encouragement on the bloggers quilt festival by the way - in the end I finished up one of my WIPs and put it in.
It has turned out really well. The blocks are great and I agree that it did not need busy quilting. Lovely quilt.
