Olive and Wine Quilt!

Another project which has moved from the 'to-do' to the 'finished' list!

Hooray!

I have always had a soft spot for this quilt and it is lovely to have it quilted...

I designed this one myself, primarily to best use the pansy fabric which had a

fine stripe running through it, making it (sort of) directional...

And I have always loved the look of a simple nine patch!

Set on point, this time...

This quilt is the biggest I ever attempted to quilt myself!

What was I thinking?

(It won't be winning any quilting awards!)

But I have now given myself permission to start something new!

What will I make?

Happy sewing!

Good morning Suz,
I adore this quilt. The pansy fabric is to die for and there are so many other elements which I find so appealing. I agree you can go past a simple 9 patch.

Oh Susan I love it! I, too, find the simple 9 patch a wonderful little block. This is such a cozy quilt and the pansy fabric is sweet. Glad you finished it...that must feel great! I can't wait to see what you choose to do next!
