a bit of that....!
The pandemic roller coaster continues here...
no sooner are we out of one lockdown,
A view from my morning walk |
enjoying the freedom of meeting up - outside - with
friends, or coffee catch-ups,
than we are again, confined to our homes with only the
five essential reasons to leave!
So what is one to do but craft.....?
I finished this jumper last weekend, then 'wet blocked'
it, and am so pleased with how it turned out!
I decided it was time to start another quilt and loved
how these fabrics played together!
Kirsty at Bonjour Quilts designed this pattern, which she
calls Scrappy Posie, available free on her blog.
Unfortunately I don't have any fabric in my stash for
backing at this stage.
I'll have to wait until lockdown finishes to solve that
problem!
Finally, I made some little (about 3") pyramid shaped
lavender pouches!
a tutorial at Patchwork Posse.
I'm planning on starting this cushion next...
I can't wait til I get my second jab next week!

Your sweater, or as you call it jumper, is wonderful. It is so well made. I love the little cables along the raglan sleeveline. The subtle color changes give it a whisper of a pattern. Really lovely work.
Love that block & if you need backing fabric, PBQ has a sale on now & you can look & buy online & posting has been quick, although I got some at the shop 2 weeks ago when we had the quick unlockdown. The jumper looks lovely. Good luck with the jab. We've had both of ours, the last one back in June. Take care, stay safe & hugs.
I love your jersey/jumper/sweater! haha! They seem to be called lots of names. Can you please tell me what pattern you used. I am back into knitting, and loving it!
Your scrappy posie block is lovely! DH and I have had 2 jabs and are rearing to go but sadly borders are still closed. So sorry for you in your...yet again..lockdown. At least its a good excuse to sew and knit. I think we are so lucky to have this love in our life.
Love your Posie!
Good luck for your second jab. I had my second on Thursday and yesterday was a write off. But apparently that means I was creating lots of good antibodies so I'll take that!
Stay safe x
That is a lovely finish on your jumper. It looks wonderful. Gorgeous colour and design.
Your fabrics have worked really well in the quilt top. Great to be able to use what you have on hand.
And the cushion looks like a good one to make. Enjoy that, too.
What a lovely post. I really like the fabrics you have chosen, I am always drawn to greens and blues. x
You have used your lockdowns so well. Your jumper is lovely and I love your posies.
You have been very productive during lockdown, though I'm terribly sorry to know these stay-at-home days continue. It's surely bad for everyone's psyche. Your jumper turned out beautifully! You, wearing, it, make it stunning, and very professional. Each of your project ideas are fun because they're scrappy goodness. I hope all of them capture your attention, in between walks in lovely scenery. Did your second vaccination go well? Or did you feel sick? We're already talking about booster injections here.
