Well, favourite colours that is!
It seems I am drawn to this colour palette...
Bricolage - a sampler made to my own
design back in 2012
and "Sanctuary"
made for a friend in 2018
And of course my latest woollen projects
Viridian jumper just finished |
Yarn waiting for a pattern |
now this....
It is only 30" by 48", at this stage.
so I'll need to go back to block building!
And then to decide if I want to use this layout of go
for something more 'radical'!
Then it would certainly be a "Wild Goose Chase"!
Happy sewing!

The Sanctuary quilt is gorgeus!
I always seem to be drawn to a more warm palette, though I love greens and blues together!
Very pretty and also love these colors....seems that we do tend to return to those colors that please us and bring comfort to us....great top and love it!
These are all so pretty. The flying geese fabrics are so pretty (and remind me of what those beautiful birds leave behind, hahaha).
You have great taste in colors . . . I love the same color scheme and have a quilt in the works that I need to finish this year. Thanks for inspiring me to get back to it.
Not colours I would pick but they are lovely....need to step out of my comfort zone.
How fun to see your go-to colors - mustard, teal, chartreuse. Your colors are pretty and very "you." I think we all have some of this going on when we're choosing quilt fabrics, and making clothes. I'm sure most people who know me could name my colors too. I think we all need a shake-up every once-in-a-while, to make us pick something outside our comfort zone. Though don't make me sew with my "ick" color: brown. Blah!
I especially admire that jumper/sweater that you knitted up so quickly. I'm sure it will be used sooner rather than later!
Those are great looking flying geese. It's a great colour palette.
One of my favourite colour combinations too. I've used it a fair bit over the years for baby boy quilts and I like to wear those colours.
I love those colors too. long ago, when my mother made me a quilt, I selected "Storm at Sea" pattern but picked out pinks, thinking it would be more feminine, as I was rather a tom-boy. For all these years, I wish I could have been brave enough to have selected those very colors which I love.
Gorgeous colours. Loving your 'goose' quilt progress. It's going to be another stunner.
Beautiful show of some beautiful color choices, Susan. I'm glad you are back in your happy zone, creating as you want to. It can be so hard to make for others, even if we are happy to do so. Welcome back to your Creative Zone!
I always enjoy those colors together. Those geese are fabulous.
I so enjoy these colors as well and I should use it more often! I have a sampler quilt that looks very much like yours with aqua and green with white sashing— such a fresh color scheme!
Love your colour combos, the chartreuse is a favourite of mine!
You do know what colors inspire you and your creations reflect that, each one so beautifully made and finished. Choosing colors is not my forte and I really admire those quilters who seem to do so quite naturally.
That is a beautiful colour combination so no surprise it has been repeated over the years. Love how the latest project is progressing.
These colours are great! They feel vibrant and alive. If a colour combo speaks to you, then use it as often as you like.
I love that yellowy green colour too! Those flying geese are looking great. Thank you for linking up to the Peacock Party.
The colours are great together & all your makes are lovely. Look forward to seeing the FG's progress. Take care.
Such "you" colours. Looking forward to seeing what you make with that lovely wool and what oyu decide upon for your wild goose quilt.
Very pretty. Thanks for sharing.
