Would you like to see some fabric I have recently
'acquired'?
First, some fabric shopping.....
Liberty!
to add to my meagre stash,
Fiona sent the three fabrics on the left hand side of this photo! |
which has been generously supplemented with
And some fat quarters......
I've never had any Castle Peeps!
And pretty DS FQs I won in a giveaway
Now would you like to see where I sew?
I thought, as I had tidied up before my return to work
tomorrow,
you might like a little look at my sewing space!
This is in the corner of my bedroom......
And most of my stash is in those two plastic tubs
under the desk!
Finally, I have been working on my new "Echo" quilt
this weekend!
I hope to have more to show you soon....
What have you been up to this weekend?
What have you been up to this weekend?
Happy sewing!

Great additions to the stash! I found a Peeps FQ at Big W today too!
Your sewing area is so tidy and neat! Mine is a mess hehe!
Loving your Echo quilt so far!! Can't wait to see more :)
Fun fabrics! Im amazed your stash fits in two tubs. It's fun seeing where you sew. I love your Echo project!!
Love Liberty! We have the top two in the shoppe! It is so good to see your sewing space. I can just imagine you sitting there stitching away! Your block looks great with the Echo fabric!
Oh good to see your sewing space., now I will be able to picture you sewing your Echo quilt. I love that block, this quilt is going to be another fabulous one. I can't believe your stash fits into those two tubs.
Beautiful block and fabrics! You are very disciplined to have a stash that is so nicely contained and that fits under your table.
What a load of lovelies!
So glad you are in the 'Sewing in a corner' club too!
What great fabrics to add to your stash. If you're looking for more liberty fabrics I have some available to swap. =D
Also I've added some new fabrics into my swap shop, as well as a new one via Flickr. If you're interested feel free to check them out =D

Great shopping :) I want to get my hands on some Liberty too. Your sewing space is so much more organized than mine right now. I with th summer holiday I find myself spending next to no time sewing on the machine and instead drag my English paper piecings project every where.
Hi Susan, Thanks for showing your "sewing room"! I love thinking about you sewing there. Funny, I just moved my sewing space from an upstairs guestroom into a corner of my bedroom today! The plan is that I will move again to our unfinished basement, but for now I'm going to enjoy looking out my bedroom window as I sew....maybe I'll even change my mind and stay! Your Echo block is a great one...is it one from the FWQAL, by any chance?
I can't believe you produce such beautiful quilts in such a small space. Do you move things around when you are quilting or doing a lot of cutting? When I had my sewing space in my bedroom I purposely bought drawers that were the perfect height for rotary cutting - cutting at a normal height desk kills your back. I'd move my machine to the RH side of the desk to leave more room on the LH side for the quilt to fall... and move the dresser/drawers to the RH side of the desk, and use it as the cutting zone... but then, I'm a control freak!
So nice to see a little bit more of you in this post. My sewing space is never that neat!
Great peek into your life there. And you know what I have been up to this weekend. ;-)
nice sewing space! i'm impressed by it's compactness. i used to sew at the dining room table and my stuff was everywhere, all the time. neat block, look forward to more!
Great additions to your stash.
I love LOVE seeing where people create!!
The blocks you are working on are beautiful.
P.S. Would you like some more Castle Peeps? I might have some to share...
Lovely fabric you've acquired. The Echo block looks great, I haven't decided what to do with my FQ collection yet. Thanks for sharing your space.
