Stars in My Eyes!

Here are the latest star blocks I have been working on....

in my favourite blue / green colourway!

Most of these fabrics came from a swap with a blogging buddy!

Thanks Marg!

Ooops-  I cut the points off- just in the photo!

And another....

These stars will all be joined together with more diamond shapes.

This will give you some idea of the future layout....

on my design floor!

But I have to make all 12 stars first!

While I was at the machine,

I decided to see what I could do with the off-cuts....

It is remarkably like a quilt top I 'pinned' recently....

(only I can't work out how to share it here! If anyone knows??)

so I think I might have two quilts for the price of one!

Happy sewing!

Linking up with WIP Wednesday over @ Freshly Pieced!

Both quilts will be so gorgeous, as you are known for, Susan! On your new header, is the blue/green sampler from a 3X6 Bee Swap? I have one that looks so similar..love that combination too!

Wow - I love it when you can "share the love" and spread the joy of one great fabric combination into two (or more) quilts. Your blocks look great.

I love them all but the orange one is my favourite so far. And I love the off cuts too. This is going to be a great quilt, and then the bonus one as well.

Oooh Susan your stars look fabulous. They look so different to my starflowers but when you put them together with the backing fabric, they are the same shape, how cool is that!
I love that you can make something else with the off cuts.

Love your stars!!! They are so bright and beautiful!!! And the left overs are fantastic too....you could put them on the back, in the corners of the borders!!! Oh the things you can do :) If you want to share a picture try laying your curser over the picture and right click....choose the copy option and left click. Then take it where you want and left click again and choose the paste option and left click again. I think that is how I do it!!! hee hee

Great blocks with fabulous colour selections and it is neat what you have done with the offcuts. I love your header - you will have to give me some clues! Take care.

It looks wonderful--both of them. How exciting to see possibilities in the castoffs, too.
