Did you know that a group of hedgehogs is known as
a Prickle?
Cute, hey?
So it seemed a very appropriate name for my
latest quilt finish.
I quilted some simple vertical and horizontal lines on
my Juki and
then hand quilted, with quilting cotton around each
of the feature squares.
The wool batting gave it a loftier look than I
am used to,
but perfect for a baby all the same.
The colours were not easy to photograph....
It looks much better in the daylight!

Oh my, 'prickle' is such a sweet quilt!
I love that this is so gender neutral! Not the easiest to achieve. Is is based on a particular pattern?
An adorable quilt, for sure. It's always impressive to see that you take time to hand quilt, and seem to do it very efficiently. It takes me forever to hand quilt! Those hedgehogs make it perfect for a child... a very lucky child. Love the name - Prickle - and no, I didn't know that's what a hedgehog group is called. It's like sandhill cranes. Did you know that a baby sandhill crane is called a colt? Such interesting facts us quilters gather!
Such a very cute crib quilt! Love it! Happy Stitching!
It looks great. And I learned a new word.
I love hearing what collections of animals are called. A very soft and pretty quilt. You have been so prolific this year.
What a fabulous quilt name for a cute quilt. Love, love, love hedgehogs.
I always enjoy learning about different collective nouns and I had not heard of a prickle of hedgehogs. I think that sounds wonderful.
Great finish on your gorgeous quilt. That design has worked really well for the focus fabric. As always, your photos look great.
Those hedgehogs may be prickly but they sure are cute. What a great idea for a baby quilt!
Lovely & hope it was well received. Love the name. Take care.
Those little hedgehogs are so cute and I learned something new too.
How did I miss commenting on this very cute quilt? (I think I commented on IG, and then forgot to do it here.) I love your lead-off line. It's a perfect way to show us this darling quilt, with fun fabrics and fun design. I hope your little one, who received it, will love it!
I love the hedgehog fabric and the quilt you made with it is sweet.
