I visited my sister at the weekend,
and she had a little surprise for me!
Children's sewing machines!
The Singer is from the sixties
and made in France;
The green one, a Japanese model!
I was thrilled to find they both work
when battery powered!
The Singer even came with it's instruction booklet
and spare needles!
The mailman delivered a much anticipated parcel
this week too...
I forgot to include the lovely piece of fabric in the parcel. |
from my sweet friend Mary
Mary's equally talented daughter Molly,
made the embroidered hoop with my initial!
Isn't it beautiful?
I had a couple of hours in my sewing room
I had a couple of hours in my sewing room
this afternoon....
and decided my oft-used threads
would look great in the sewing carrier!
I also did some sewing
(yes, that's a novel idea!)
Can you guess what that will become?
I hope to have a finished quilt ready to share
with you soon too!
Happy days!

Love those little sewing machines!! What a lovely parcel to receive with wonderful gifts from Mary and her daughter. It's great to see your finding time to sew.
Oh what wonderful gifts :-) The embroidered S is just stunning - I aspire to be able to embroider like that :-)
You had a good week!!!! The sewing machines are so fun! Have you given them a whirl? Wonder what you are making with the foxy fabric? Is the finished quilt your modern Amish quilt? I can't wait to see that one!
Yay!!! That package definitely took its time! I love those itty bitty sewing machines, but I also love the boxes they came in. Hahaha! I always look forward to your quilts :)
I am sure both will sew and behave far better than my Bernina 830LE. Have fun
What darling little sewing machines! They're a great addition to any sewing space.

I'm picking that it's not a willie warmer?
No, I cannot guess! A really long bib?
Now I have bag AND hoop envy. Sigh.
