A long wait at the airport
gave me plenty of time to plan
what sewing I was going to tackle
when I finally arrived home!
First up, Debbie's MCM bee block...
Rolling Diamonds by knottygnome
Do you think there is enough contrast in it?
Next I pieced all my Scrappy Sandwiches together...
I'm looking forward to quilting this soon
when I get backing and batting.
I have my binding ready though!
Finally, my Liberty cushion...
Before stitching it together has its final stitches completed. But I will save the full reveal for another day! Did you have some sewing time this weekend? Happy sewing! SUZ |

Love love love them all!
(Especially that wonderfully scrappy top!)
You've been so good at sticking to your list! Love them all but especially the bee block. I think there's enough contrast, such sweet fabrics.
Your Scrappy Sandwiches quilt is my fav. The colors! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you have a true gift for choosing colors. Glad you could return home (safely) with some time left for sewing. Know you've missed it. You're creating lovely things.
You certainly got a lot of sewing done on the weekend!! All of your projects look wonderful!
Lovely projects and the Liberty looks so beautiful! And can't wait to see that binding on!
Suz, that scrappy quilt is seriously great! Can't waitr to see it all finished.
Loving your Scrappy Sandwiches, looks fab, you have been a busy bee!!
ok - love my bee block, and yes, there's enough contrast! Thank you!
New to the site. Love the scrappy sandwiches. Is it your pattern or can you direct me to it?
I think the Rolling Diamonds has plenty of contrast.
Beautiful projects Susan!
I want a bit of that sandwich! It is beautiful. So thankful you are home safe and happy!
Beautiful, all of it! And there's that lovely fabric we both used in the top block :-)
Wow did you get a lot done. Love the bee block. The fabrics are great. And your sandwich quilt! It is wonderful. I also love the liberty cushion, great fabrics. Slow down you making me look bad!
Your Scrappy Sandwiches quilt looks better at every step! And the Liberty cushion....luscious!
No sewing over the weekend, but I'm dreaming and scheming for the time when I will have uninterrupted sewing time again.
Love the fabrics in your bee block for Debbie. I better get busy and get mine done.
Gorgeous projects as always :-) I love the liberty cushion, and can't wait to see the Scrappy Sandwiches finished - so much work has gone into that.
Glad you got home safe and sound. Perfect contrast in the bee block - as there is differing scale as well. Those itty bitty pieced blocks are really effective aren't they? Were they with scraps? And has the scrap pile diminished?
you have got some great projects on the go
Gosh your sewing time and mojo took a leap into the stratosphere!
I'm loving your scrappy sandwiches quilt and very precisely pieced! Long waits can be good for ideas and motivation....
Wow! You sure have been sewing up a storm! Everything looks fabulous, of course? And the perfect way to patchnplay!
I just love your scrappy sandwiches quilt. It might be my next bee block request
Yes, there is enough contrast. I too love those scrappy sandwiches.
Scrappy sandwiches is brilliant. Love your binding and the liberty cushion.
Debbie's block looks fabulous! Your quilt top is really wonderful, too, and I have seen the finished pillow (one drawback to "batch reading") but it's fun seeing it in this stage, too.
