Finished....

at this time of year....

is better than perfect!

And this far from perfect!

"City Skyline" was happily gifted on Christmas Day!

I ended up stippling the sky,

with its eight different coloured solids!

and minimally hand quilting each

of the seventy or so blocks!

The backing is from the Curious Nature

range by Parson Gray in the Oyster shade...

My son probably won't need it for awhile....

It is summer after all and he goes to London,

for six months, in April!

I probably have time to make it perfect!

Linking up with the F-A-L....

(I hope to be back before 2014 arrives,

with a late finish!)

Happy sewing!

SUZ

What a clever idea! I particularly like the two buildings that have spiky tops as they look so very roof like.

Very nice quilt, Suz! I bet your son loved it. And if it doesn't get used in 2014, it will surely be used later. Happy new year, with a 2014 filled with all good things, including great health!

This is stunning! I love the quilt, and the stippling and the quilting. It is all wonderful and wonderfully masculine--perfect for a man's quilt.

I'm impressed you were able to finish it for Christmas, but then you are always amazing me one way or another.
