My quiltmaking took a back seat for a while,
while I made some clothes...
a blouse in Kaffe cotton....
and pants in linen for me,
And a dress in vintage cotton plisse ,
and top from an Outback Wife cotton/merino twill for
my sister, Helen!
We had a bit of fun taking photos
and trying to give the features a fair showing
such as the splits in the top....
the ruffle on the back of the other top....
the pockets.....
and matching checks on the pants....
or the spotty binding on the dress!
The joy is definitely in the making and the wearing!
Happy sewing!

Well done. I've not sewn clothes for ages, but maybe I should do some as I've still got quite a bit of dressmaking fabric. Take care & stay safe.
Beautiful additions to your wardrobes. The pants are so stylish and the tops so pretty, great job!!!
A very productive quilting break, I must say! I especially love those plaid pants. Only a quilter would think to match the stripes!
Wow, those are great. I haven't sew garments for over 40 years. Maybe I need to add some tops to my list,
Such fun. I so envy your closeness with your sister. Mine both are much older than me and live far away.
They are all wonderful garments - I really like the frilled Kaffe top design. I bought some Nerida Hansen fabrics for myself and a couple of her patterns - hope to cut them out before it's too cold.
beautiful! I'm wanting to get back to more garment sewing. I especially love that Kaffe top!
And the giving! You both look so radiant and very happy! The detail shots are 👌👌
Just charming, Susan! You and Helen are look-alikes, and probably can share each other's clothes too! You've been keeping busy, haven't you? Garment sewing is faster than quiltmaking, but all that productivity! You've done well with your pattern and fabric choices. And check-matching too! Wow. It's great to see you enjoying yourself this way.
You are a lovely seamstress. Your clothing always fits so well and I do enjoy the fabrics you choose. Excellent modelling.
Such a delightful post!
I need to borrow your industry and energy and get some of the planned garment sewing done that I've envisioned. I love the smiles on the models (fabulous) and the perfectly matched seams. Really fun to see!
