Another Finish!

A triangle quilt had been on my 'to-do' list

for quite some time now...

I chose to make mine from Denyse Schmidt's

"Picadilly" fabric range from Spotlight,

complemented by Kona solid in Limelight...

I had great success with spray basting,

using 505 Spray and Fix for the first time-

hardly a pucker in sight!

I used my favourite thread- Aurifil!

No.1231, which I call Pacific Lime of course!

It was a perfect match!

I quilted in a double diagonal line about 1/4"

on either side of the triangles....

giving a diamond pattern all over!

It is not a large quilt-

about 44" by 56"

I think it would make a great picnic quilt...

or maybe just a couch quilt!

Now to decide what to make next....

Happy sewing!

Nice work, Suz, very Springy (autumn-schmutumn, right?). Love the pattern the diagonals make on the back too!

What a great finish! The colors are fantastic and it is perfectly quilted! I am so glad you had a chance to try spray basting. I don't use it every time but on small quilts I do. It sure saves time!

I LOVE your quilt! I've had a triangle quilt on my own to-do list for a year or more. I adore your colour choices and I'm obsessed with Aurifil thread too! Great work!!!! (was it difficult to do???)

I really really like this one Suz. Love the colors and the triangles. I just bought a triangle ruler so I think a triangle quilt is in my future too. Hopefully soon. Great photos too. Especially like the one in the tree.

Oh! I love that. All that beautiful lime green matched with the lovely cobalt blue. I think I've got that same Auriful thread and I love it too. Great quilt.

Beautiful quilt. I have a Christmas wall hanging that is waiting to be quilted. My plan was to do the same thing you did with your quilt. You have confirmed for me it will look great.

I just love the colors in this quilt! The diagonal quilting lines on the back have made such a pretty design. This is a great quilt, for the couch or picnicking!
