The start of a beautiful friendship!

Even though May signals

the end of Autumn here

This month's colours are reminiscent Australian Autumn leaves
It is also the end of the

+ and x Friendship block swap.....

So let the quilt construction begin!

Here are the blocks I sent to Carla....

in the rich colours of red, orange and brown.

And here are the beauties I received from Carla!

And here they are 'getting acquainted'!

Carla and I are intending to work independently on

our quilt layout,

with a final reveal at the end of September!

It will be fun to see our 'fraternal' quilts...

Happy days!

Here, it feels like autumn has just started with the heavy rains of the past fortnight. The leaves are starting to fall.
I am going to miss your block swaps and the monthly fabric fancying.

This months blocks are so wonderfully autumnal. I like that Carla included bicycles in her blocks for you. Now I'll be looking forward to September for the big reveal.

Fabulous! A fitting end to a great little swap. I have mine all in a bag over there on the counter, waiting for my travels to be finished before I dive into the arranging. Thanks for the inspiration!

Such beautiful colors in this post! The leaves; the fabric combinations. I can't believe so much time has passed and that you've finished your swapping. It will be fun to see the quilt you create.
