Sugar Gum Blossoms

I finished my blossoms quilt top a couple of

weeks ago...

But boy, has life been busy!

My husband had an operation four weeks ago and I

have become the designated driver during this time.

I love how the quilt top has ended up!

It finishes at about 20 inches.

The back with the interfacing pieces

I'm calling it "Sugar Gum Blossoms".

I've purchased some new Aurifil threads to quilt it...

Who knows when I will get started?

I have lots of WIPS waiting for my attention!

Happy sewing...

It's gorgeous! Look forward to seeing how you quilt it. I've also been finding a few WIPs & getting them sorted. Hope your hubby is on the mend after his op & all is well. Will you be able to make it to AQC in April? Take care & hugs.

How is hubby going after the op? I hope all is well.
Good thing we are patient when it comes to being a taxi service!!!

That's simply a gorgeous piece, Susan! I really like the colors, and your workmanship look meticulous. You'll enjoy hand-quilting it, I'm sure. I'm sorry to know your hubs had surgery, and no doubt you're a wonderful helpmate for him. I hope you get to quilting as time allows.

As I've watched my wisteria blossoms dangle from our patio cover -- a regular March gift in our neck of the woods -- I've thought more than once about this quilt of yours, and wonder if I could ever pull off a fabric rendition of the beautiful wisteria. I love your finished quilt, and think it is so beautiful. You've spent your chauffeuring time well! Congratulations on a finish!
