Odds and Ends...

My Homespun project has returned home!

And I have plans for another block from my

pattern....

to play with my MCM Bee blocks!

There have been stars in the making too....

It has been quite a challenge for me working with

such a limited colour palette,

but I think this is working....

And I'm appliqueing, with blanket stitch,

some leaf shapes to be added

to my Spring Garden quilt top!

What have you been up to this weekend?

Happy sewing!

I think those blues are going to look fantastic together (in fact, they already do). I love that green zip - it's a feature all on its own.

The new bag plans look lovely.
And so do all the star blocks. Great use of all the blues. I think they are working really well together.
And the Spring Garden looks very interesting!

I got chills looking at your post! Good chills! Your block is fantastic and I can't wait to see what you are doing with it....I know it will be aaaammmmaaaazing! And the Spring garden project has me itching to see more! I know it is difficult to work with a limited palette, but the fabric and your stars remind me of Flow Blue china. So lovely, Susan!

I am really loving the blue and white star quilt. I've never.made anything with such a limited palette and bet it sure is hard to do, but the effect is really striking!

Have you decided what to do with your fancy green zip? I have the lace zips I bought in Japan, but I have to think of a project.
I love the limited blue and white colours. Sometimes simple is just right.
