When nursing duties took over,
the blogging went first!
Then the sewing!
But I'm still here!
I've manage to make....
a solid spiderweb block for Cindy!
pieced more of my Scrappy Sandwiches,
and spend some time playing with even more scraps!
Just a 'sneak peek' of the back at the moment! |
And today I cut into my precious little
Liberty stash....
to make a new cushion.
Finally, I have a new addition to my library.
Kathy Doughty's new book has some amazing
inspiration,
not just in pictures but words too!
Would you like a review?
Here's to more sewing days,
and less nursing ones!
Happy days!
SUZ

I love your scrappy sandwiches! Your bee block is awesome - I'm so impressed that you lined up all the text.
I love the scrappy sandwiches! You and I also seem to have a bit of overlap in our Liberty purchases. I am still not brave enough to cut into mine. I need a plan.
I hope the hubby's bones are mending.
Your scrappy sandwiches have a wonderful balance and contrast. Pleased to see you now have time for a little more than nursing - which is good news for both you and hubby.
All of your stitching is so colorful and happy! Love that spiderweb block.
OH MY GOODNESS! Your scrappy lattice block is just delish and your spiderweb absolutely beautiful. Thanks for brightening my day right up :)
You've managed to make lots of gorgeous fun things!! I'm loving the scrappy sandwich quilt!!
I would love a review! I adore Kathy's books! Your scrappy quilt is looking so good. I am always impressed by what you can squeeze into a short bit of time. Hope Mr PnP is feeling better.
I love all those scrappy bits! And a review of Kathy's book would be delightful.
I hope you get more sewing time in this weekend!
Well I think your nursing roll has inspired you, love all your makes especially that Liberty of course.
Have a nice weekend Susan x
I hope hubby heals fast. I'm glad you can get sewing done - we always need that energy that creating quilts can give.
Love your scrappy sandwiches. Hope that himself is healing up nicely and the balance between nursing and sewing swings your way.
I'd be interested in a book review.
Hope the nursing duties haven't been too difficult. As a nurse I know how demanding some patients can be!!
Have you managed to keep up to date with the friendship x and plus blocks?
I LOVE your scrappy sandwiches! Gorgeous!! You've managed to fit in so much - well done!
Suz, your "sandwiches" are looking so awesome. Don't you just love that that pattern! Yes, please, on the book review!
Hi Susan. Doesn't work just get in the way? I've got so many blocks to make before months end including my x and + . Yikes!
I trust hubby is mending nicely? Love the spiderweb..and am certain that Cindy will love it.
Brilliant blocks
Beautiful sewing! Trust hubby is mending well!!
Beautiful blocks, and I shall check out the book. I hope this means that he is well on the way to being all better.
Such beautiful & colourful projects!
How's the Mr doing?
Love your spider block and scrappy sandwiches , you are keeping very busy, beautiful!!
hope Hubby is slowly getting better xx Your sandwich blocks are looking amazing, and would love to read your review of Kathy's book :-)
Glad to see you are finding time to sew in addition to your nursing duties. Hopefully your patient is improving ;-) I am impressed by how much you have accomplished. Great spiderweb block and I love your Scrappy Sandwiches. I also received some Liberty London pretties....not sure how to cut them up and use them....ideas?
Hope the patient is recovering well. Do like what you're stitching....yum!
I bought Kathy's book, too, but haven't even cracked it open (regretfully), but I look forward to it. (Maybe tonight?)
Your other projects look great, even the "secret" project. Love your spiderweb!

Even with reduced hours, you've still produced lots of beautiful colourful pieces. I would love to hear a review of the book.
Seems like you're getting things done to me even if it you don't think so. I just happen to have Kathy's Material Obsession books from the library right now. Would love to get a look at her new book soon. A review would be great.
what fun and colorful projects you have going. I really like the tan with all those brights!
looks like a great book, I'll have to look for it.
Even your WIPs are gorgeous! Every one of them. I know how frustrating it is to not be able to do what you want to do. Hang in there. This will pass, eventually, and life will be normal again. In the meantime, thanks for taking time to share your lovelies. They are just that!
