I love the period between Christmas and New Year!
Our simply set Christmas table! |
The frenzy of THE season is over...
Mooching around.....
Even Santa is 'kicking back'! |
A new year holds such great promise....
And making plans....
Time to do, whatever!

Happy days!

Hey, this post snuck in without me seeing.. Beautiful photos Suz, your table looked so festive! Santa made me giggle and I like the pile of quilting books, planning your next project I see. Another wonderful FW block!
Heh heh. Lovin' Santa!!! Looks like you've had a nice wee festive spell, I too love this 'tween week coz my work closes!!
You can't ignore the 'wife' at Christmas!!
Hahahaha!!! Love the Santa! I would love this time so much better if I didn't have returns...the last thing I want to do is go back into the mall. Although restful nights looking through quilting books sounds pretty perfect :)
It looks like a lovely holiday! So glad you're enjoying it. Our interlude officially starts tonight b/c the family dinners are over, visitors gone, etc so we're just tucking in with a nice fire and new books to read. Love it too!
Your table looks especially fab (wink wink)!
Hi, your #4 FWS block looks great! I decided to do the block as the holiday challenge, but after taking photos of it, I realized I put the quarters together wrong, so I'll need to get out the seam ripper and put it together again...hopefully correctly this time!
So glad that you enjoy this week before the new year-- still sustaining the festive spirti-- b/c I know for some it can be such a letdown. Glad you did a FW block-- eagerly awaiting the "release/introduction" of our new header!! Happy New Year (and the anticipation/
approac) of its arrival! How will you be celebrating?
I always enjoy the "planning" period around the New Year too, I look forward to following your creative and inspirational ideas, Suz!
Your table looks grand. It's always fun to leave an old year behind and plan a new year. I hope 2012 will be a good one for you!
I agree, it's a great time to get your ducks in a row for next year. Happy planning!
