Keep calm and sew on.....!

Thank you for all my lovely commenters following my last Blogpost.

My sister's pretty courtyard.
Thankfully I had the opportunity to get a neat haircut that will last me the six weeks of our current lockdown.

I have been sewing!

A new skirt....

I need to tweak the buttoning.....

to make it sit flat, but nothing that will take too much fixing!

There's no hurry, I'm not going anywhere for a while!

Happy sewing!

  1. Whoops, I missed your last post, due to getting so stressed over this second phase. You've sure been busy & good for braving a haircut. Not quite in lockdown here, but the Princes' Freeway is closed so we can't get to Melbourne anyway. The skirt looks lovely & I'll admit to not making much in the way of clothes these days, but maybe I should think about it. Will you be back at school after the holidays, as I'm a bit confused as to what is going on in some places. Take care, stay safe & huggles.

  2. Love all your quilts, Suz. They are inspiring to me. How clever you are to make clothes too! You look wonderful. We are still in isolation here just outside Ottawa, Canada and our mayor has finally mandated wearing masks in all indoor public areas. Sorry you folks have had to backtrack.

  5. Love your short haircut, you will be surprised how much it will grow in 6 weeks. The pink cordylines (??) in your sister's courtyard really glow against the weathered gray of the fence.

  6. Great to see you sewing some special items for yourself. That is a lovely skirt and looks great.
Great to get a haircut too. I was lucky to have had a booking on Wednesday for one as well.
Good luck for the next few weeks.

  7. That is a really cute skirt pattern with those front buttons. I’ll bet the short haircut feels great. You’ll be so happy to have it short as it grows through the next 6 weeks.
