While I hand quilt my Dream Catcher,
And consider borders for my Chuck quilt,
I've been working my "A Wild Ride" blocks!
They are great fun to make...
I only want to use fabric from my stash,
and have loved coming up with new combinations!
I have another nine sets all ready for cutting.
That will take me up to 29 blocks,
with only 19 left to choose, if I make the 48 blocks
from the pattern.
What are you working on at the moment?
Happy sewing!

Oh I reeealy want to do the dream catcher quilt. I hope it comes out as a pattern soon!
ReplyDeleteLove love Valentine quilt. Is there a pattern?
ReplyDeleteHi Suz! I admire your dream catcher quilt! It is gorgeus! Who knows when I can continue mine. Have a lovely weekend! x Teje

Love those blocks made from stash fabrics!
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to see what you're keeping busy with! That hand stitching on the Dream Catcher... I never would have thought to use black pearl cotton around those leaves, but I love how they make the colors pop. The contrast is really nice. And you're going strong on the Wild Ride blocks. They look fun! Extra special that you're making them stash-only. Perfect. Keep enjoying yourself!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful post full of inspiration. I just love your fabric combinations. I finally got to do some machine quilting for one of the many projects on my list and the Juki is behaving quite well.
ReplyDeleteThese blocks are looking wonderful. And getting them all from your stash is quite an achievement.
ReplyDeleteLovely work with the quilting on your dream catcher, too.
I have been admiring your eye for combining fabrics, Susan and your wild ride blocks are the perfect example of why! Such wonderful combinations to inspire us to mix and match for some quilt block magic. I'm so delighted to hear you have more to make. There will be more to enjoy! Happy stitching....
ReplyDeleteLoving that hand quilting... it adds so much dimension. Are you planning any other quilting in the background area? I have also been thinking about making forward progress on resting projects, while concentrating on doing a different aspect of other projects... I suppose that is part of being a quilter, multi-tasking and managing multiple projects. Sometimes more successfully than others :o)
ReplyDeleteThose "A wild ride" blocks do look fun!! I'm currently struggling with an "En Provence" mystery scrap quilt from Bonnie Hunter. The cutting is finally finished and the sewing is started - and I'm only to make it a 9 block quilt instead of the original huge size! We had a houseful of family before, during and after Xmas so progress has been slow - that's my excuse! Lynne.
ReplyDeletei love your work So inspiring

DeleteYour dreamcatcher is gorgeous! Love the handquilting.
ReplyDeleteI love that scallopy orange-red block, as it really stands out. That is actually a hard thing to do because all your blocks are so fun to see and to look at! I love that hand-quilting; it is coming along fine. It will be a lovely quilt when you are finished, for sure. Happy Tennis!
ReplyDeleteLoving the handquilting on the dreamcatcher, will it just be outline quilting or will you add more? There are some mad (in a good way) fabric combinations in the Wild Ride blocks.
ReplyDeleteI love your dream catcher quilt!!! And your wild ride blocks are like a party with those super fun combos!
ReplyDeleteYou're working on such wonderful projects - both the Dream Catcher and the Wild Ride Quilts are so fantastic!
