Work not Play!

I haven't had much play time for the last ten days or so,

but I have done a little sewing!

Some more "A Wild Ride" blocks...

I did test a new block for Andy at A Bright Corner....

and ran this scarf up from some fat quarters of voile

I had.....

difficult to photograph!

I received blocks for the Gridster Bee I am

participating in...

Aren't they fabulous?

And I've made one of my own...

It's hard to imagine that it's nearly time for me to

return to work for another year,

but I don't really want to think about that just yet!

Happy days,

Enjoying the Ride!

While I hand quilt my Dream Catcher,

And consider borders for my Chuck quilt,

I've been working my "A Wild Ride" blocks!

They are great fun to make...

I only want to use fabric from my stash,

and have loved coming up with new combinations!

I have another nine sets all ready for cutting.

That will take me up to 29 blocks,

with only 19 left to choose, if I make the 48 blocks

from the pattern.

What are you working on at the moment?

Happy sewing!

"Stacks" quilt!

I have my first finish for 2017....

This quilt was previously known as

"Boxes of Cotton and Steel"

 but I wanted something simpler.

I chose some straight line quilt in just one

direction....

I am always frightened that once I head the other

way,

I will mess it all up!

The backing was an Ikea find on sale....

and one of my labels has been attached,

to make it totally finished.

The quilt is roughly 48" square,

and looking for a new home.

Happy sewing!

2017, looking forward....

It's time to get my thoughts organised for 2017!

I have three quilts waiting to be quilted....

Oh Christmas Tree,

Dream Catcher

and Boxes of Cotton & Steel

One quilt waiting for a friendship block to arrive...

(which may have actually arrived today!)

for Chucky's in Love.

I may get this one professionally quilted?

I've even prepared labels for these four quilts!

How's that for being organised!?

And of course I have started something new....

"A Wild Ride"....

a fabulous pattern by Jen Kingwell!

And a growing list of quilts I'd really like to make!

I'm in a new bee, so there's another one!

More on that soon!

Happy sewing!
