W.W.W.W.

I have updated this post with information about Wendy's patterns.

Workshop With Wendy Williams, that is!

I spent a fun day at "Cutting Cloth" admiring all

Wendy's lovely quilts....

This heart quilt is now available as a pattern here!

and learning a few stitches and tricks!

Pistil stitch, Whip stitch....
These were all made by Wendy!

Reverse applique of pretty floral fabrics,

and colonial knots!

One of these, above,

and two of these are mine!

Look at those cute sheep!

                   There was plenty of inspiration...

as if I need another project!

Even the bathroom was inspiring!

How cool is this for a curtain?

I do have an idea for my own design,

but time will tell....

My 'flowers' so far!

Have you tried wool felt work and embroidery?

Happy sewing!

  2. Lucky you Suz. I'm sure it was a great day. I don't know where Wendy gets her ideas from but they just keep flowing. I'm sure you'll make something lovely too.

  7. Wow - so much colour. Looks like an awesome class to do. My sister and I are swapping felt pieces, with the aim to do a felt/embroidery project next year.

  8. Okay, I'm so jealous of your time there in class, seeing those amazing quilts--how your head must have been filled to overflow with all of the beautiful things to see. I'm glad you had such a great time, and had the chance to have a class from her. Hope you told her hi from me! :) Elizabeth

  12. It looks like you had a wonderful day. Wendy does some amazing work and has so many great ideas. I wanted to make everything! I am still work on building up my collection of flowers. Good luck with your design.

  13. Sorry to say to you, but happily for me (as I don't want to add another thing to my wanna-do list), I don't have a whit of interest in working with wool or doing special embroidery stitches. I don't mean to offend. You're doing what you love, and that's what quilting is all about! Yay for you!

  14. I love Wendy's work - so bright, colourful, cheerful and happy. I've done very little with wool but find it's a very forgiving fabric.

  23. Your work is outstanding! I love (and appreciate) all the colors! I love scrappy quilts as well. You use so many mediums (fabrics, wool, felt, and various threads). You are definitely not afraid to get out of the box. I have truly been moved by your gorgeous heart quilt. I am in hopes you have the pattern for sale. We unexpectedly lost our son a year ago February, the day before our daughter’s wedding. It has been a long and continual healing process. I would love to make this quilt for our daughter as well as one for us. Is the pattern for sale and if so, how can I order? Laura Wilson from Harlingen, TX (956-245-2455).
