So...
for a friend,
who is going to live in Seattle!
who is going to live in Seattle!
Including Melbourne prints such as
Melbourne trams,
magpies and some of our suburbs named!

And this spotted fabric is meant to mimic the old
tram tickets from days gone by, I think!
I hope Allison thinks of Melbourne when she uses it.
Happy days!

I love it! What a great gift for your friend.
ReplyDeleteThoughtful gifts are always the best. And this one looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteAn STB is such a wonderful gift and I know how much work it is as I've made two of them now :-) Your fabrics are so wonderful! Looking at them makes me think of the lovely afternoon we spent together fabric shopping. And just yesterday I had my metro and magpie fabrics in my hands and was wondering what to sew... Well... Perhaps I will just look at them and think of Melbourne :-)
ReplyDeleteThe one you made looks so much more professionally made than mine does! I guess I need to make a mini so I can practice. Beautiful and such a thoughtful gift as well.
ReplyDeleteIt's just adorable! You put so much thought into the fabric choices. I already know it's a lot of work! You're a good friend, and she can't help but remember you with great fondness.
ReplyDeleteThis is top-notch, and I'm sure she'll love it. You always do such lovely work, and I love that you used a mini--it's just the right size for everything! (And PS--the subscription finally worked! Your blog post came into my email this morning--YAY!!)
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous - STBags are such versatile items. Love all your fabric choices too.
ReplyDeleteThis little thing is just precious! I love all the fabrics and the stories which, I'm sure, will be such sweet reminders for your friend - the best kind of gift!
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful mini bag, how perfect with the Melbourne fabrics.
ReplyDeleteLove these fabrics and they are perfect for your mini STB!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a perfect way to use this fabric. Definitely lots of Melbourne memories in that gift. Lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteOoh! A mini! I like that idea. I have two of the normal size on the go. Maybe when I finish those I can make a smaller version.
ReplyDeleteYou really have the small project nailed - they always look so professional! And lovely and meaningful fabric choices. Great all round!
ReplyDeleteThat Melbourne themed fabric is fabulous and your bag is really cute. I used to live in Melbourne and would love to get my hands on some of the fabric, who is the designer?
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you've sent a bit of Melbourne to the other side of the world.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! What a thoughtful gift!
