I cannot remember the last time I wrote a WIPS
Wednesday post!
So here's what I have been up to...
I have finished piecing the backing for
my Modern Amish,
with the arrival of Elizabeth's siggy block.
I now just need the inclination to baste it all
together!
I have been slowly piecing my Triangle Quilt,
which is proving to be a challenge,
matching up all those points!
Stepping around it on my 'design floor' is also
a challenge!
Finally I have made a bunting from some
sweet novelty prints!
What have you been up to?
SUZ
Love the colours in your triangle quilt!!
ReplyDeleteYour Amish backing looks great, It's fun to see all the signature blocks. Slow and steady with those triangle points. Such sweet bunting cant help but make you smile.
ReplyDeleteThat bunting is the bomb. It'll be such a nice addition to a room. Triangles, argh, yes they can be painful. I made a queen sized quilt but mine were a lot bigger than yours - I was really worried about chopping off points but really when you stand back and see the thing as a whole it's hard to pick them out. I think when you work on it it's such close range that it feels like any mismatch is huge, but in the end it's not that noticeable.
ReplyDeleteSome pretty working is happening at your house!
ReplyDeleteStill loving that triangle quilt. Now that I have seen more of it, I can see that we are working with the same Denyse Schmidt fabrics - probably both purchased at Spotlight. It's amazing how different they can look when mixed with a few other fabrics. Yours is going to be lovely.
ReplyDeleteNice catching up with you. I've been MIA for a while as far as commenting goes. Nice projects you've got going there.
ReplyDeleteThat bunting is so cute! Love the foxes and chickens! The back to your modern Amish quilt looks fabulous. Having the signature blocks is such a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteLove the triangles quilt - those DS fabrics look amazing with the lime green!
ReplyDeleteWow! You've been really busy making beautiful things. I'm crushing on that triangle quilt and your sweet bunting.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting work with the triangles. they are looking great.
ReplyDeleteAnd the bunting is delightful!
Lots of fun going on there. The bunting is really cute. I've never made any but always think it's so cute and festive.
ReplyDeleteI didn't find my triangle quilt too tricky. I had to realign a few points, but pressing the seams in opposite direction worked a charm.
ReplyDeleteBunting! It is such cute bunting, too!
Busy, busy, busy! I can't believe I didn't see your post! Your Modern Amish quilt will be wonderful! I love all those bright colors set against the black. I love the triangle quilt and the colors, again, are perfect. I know you were worried about the background color, but I think it looks just fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI love how your triangle quilt is looking... great colour combo! And your 'modern' Amish looks very interesting, looking forward to seeing it in full! (love the backing too!) Linda
ReplyDeleteYou've been quite productive!! I, on the other hand, have not ;-)) Hope to have some WIPs to share next week.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you waited for me! I'm so happy to be an official part of this quilt, as I really love it--another beautiful quilt to add to my Want To Make List. I love those rounded bunting shapes--very fun, too!
