Sedately....

I am really enjoying my

 'slow sewing' campaign....

(My everyday job is stressful...

I do not want my hobby to be!)

In the last couple of days

I finished this bee block for Carla...

a little hand pieced 6" DP block.

And this simple iPad bag....

being modelled again by Helen....

after all, it is for her!

Happy 'slow' sewing!

  5. It's all too easy to let the crazy pace of day to day life carry over into our sewing life. I'm glad you're intentionally taking it slow and appreciating all the good things that a creative life bring. Here's to slow and sedate!

  13. I SO agree with slow sewing to balance a busy job. I do the same and an hour of hand sewing does wonders. I love your Ipad bag. I really like all the edges in red. Helen is an excellent model and a lucky recipient!

  19. I'm with you on the slow sewing as well, I stressed myself out over the weekend doing some machine quilting and then told myself just to stop, put it away and go back to what I was enjoying making.
