I have decided, with three months of the year almost
over and little to show for it,
that this is "The Year of Slow Sewing"......
I have at least finished the second of two bibs.....
The Easter bunny stopped by..... |
hand pieced three circle blocks for my
Museum Medallion,
At this rate, it will be at least May before this round is finished! |
and am EPPing some little hexies!
My Juki is feeling very neglected!
That's okay, its first term holidays next week, so
there will lots more sewing time!
Yippee!
Now I just need to decide what quilt to make next!
Happy sewing!

Happy sewing!

The pink cherry print is=n your Museum Medallion is the same range (Sew Cherry) as the white cherry print in my quilt! The bibs looks great and also practical. Hexies are timeless aren't they - these seem like a nice small size but not too small
ReplyDeleteSlow sewing has its place in our busy lives. Love the look of the museum medallion. Cute hexies!
ReplyDeleteCouldnt agree more, sewing a quilt on machine in a week is no fun, far better to sew some love and go slow, I blame the online world for the hurry! Hope you weekend is nice n stitchy!
ReplyDeletePretty makes! Enjoy the slow pace :) Xxxx
ReplyDeleteHurray for holidays, only 3 working days left for me until the Easter break.
ReplyDeleteLoving it all xxx
Yay for holidays! I appreciate the work you do and it's precisely because it's not just churned out! Cute, cute bibs!
ReplyDeleteIt may feel slow, but from where I'm sitting, you are accomplishing a lot of beautiful things this year. Love seeing it all come together!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a slow sewing year for me so far too, and I think that I need to realize, like you did, that it's okay!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Deborah's comment above. Your hexies are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong with slow sewing, and everything you make is so wonderful it must be lovely to have to time to enjoy the process. I love the bibs you've made!
ReplyDeleteLove the patchwork bibs...
ReplyDeleteHugz
I dont think that it has been a slow year for you at all - you always have so many projects on the go! Love those little hexies.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, slow sewing. I've been specialising in that this year.
ReplyDeleteYou do beautiful work, slow or not! I'll be making bibs befoe long, too...yours are sure cute!
ReplyDeleteThose are darling bibs! Your pattern or elsewhere?
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty hexies. I must try some bibs too.
ReplyDeleteAfter a couple of months of trying to meet deadlines with my sewing I have decided that slow sewing is the way to go - it is supposed to be relaxing after all!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, if you think you're slow, you should pop over and see me! I think you're doing great guns (but I also think slow sewing is pretty awesome too.)
ReplyDeleteSometimes slow is just the right pace :) love all the sewing, especially those bibs!
ReplyDeleteI think Slow Sewing works for me too! I must confess...it is nice to sit back a watch from the sidelines sometimes. Baby bibs??? Hmmmmm....news???? I can't wait to see this Medallion quilt all together. Really amazing, Susan. And the hexies on the linen are so sweet. Slow is working for you!
ReplyDeleteSlow or fast these blocks/hexies look amazing. Keep stitching!
ReplyDeleteHi Susan. I'm catching up with some long overdue blog reading of fellow Mid Century bee quilters. I sometimes feel like all my sewing is slow going . . . or at least my blogging is certainly slow going. Found your recent post regarding Kaffe interesting. I'm in the love him camp. Love most of his fabrics although not always the colors. Have many of his books but have never made one of his designs as I always want to design my own.
ReplyDeleteSlow Sewing. What a nice thought.
ReplyDeleteI was doing almost No Sewing last fall (a new class, too much work!) and now am about all caught up. I'm probably headed into some Slow Sewing myself, with papers coming in Thursday that will keep me grading all weekend.
I'll be happy to get back to the cloth.
Elizabeth
Slow and steady wins the race! I'm slow, too. If I rush I make mistakes! Loving your little hexies :D
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with a bit of slow sewing......it's all looking very good!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of addicted to sewing curves lately. Yours look perfect.
ReplyDeletei'm working on some hexies and some hand quilting and feeling pretty pokey with my sewing, too. :)
