Random Preparations....

As life slowly returns to some routine,

(where I prepare for more regular sewing sessions,

at least....)

I have another Jazz Hands block complete!

10 down, 2 more to go!

Backing has been prepared for the Sherbet Pips

quilt....

And binding fabric purchased....

There has been preparation for my Summer job....

And a lovely pack of fabric scraps from Cindy in the

mail....

And a cute breakfast brioche...

My tummy was prepared for it...

Yum!

Finally we are preparing for a long, hot summer!

Happy days,

More work than....

play!

The end of the school year is fast approaching and,

as a teacher, it is my busiest time of the year!

And that's my excuse why I look so tired modelling by

new "Sew Serendipity" blouse...

It's a little big, but better big than small!
I have done some more EPP of my "Jazz Hands"...

ready to add to these...

which has been sadly neglected while I worked

on my Museum Medallion...

I hope to back with some serious fabric 'play',

real soon!

After all, its nearly Summer holidays here!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in the US...

PS: I have solved my photo problem for the time being....

Thanks to all my friends, especially Hadley who came to my rescue!

HELP!

Blogger is telling me I cannot upload photos to my

blog unless I purchase more space!

I haven't heard of this before!

Is there another way I can get photos to my blog

without having to pay?

Can someone advise me please!?

Thanks everyone, I have a solution, albeit a temporary one!

One good turn...

deserves another!

My blogging friends have helped me out immensely

lately...

Thanks Hadley!

Fabric from one,

An English translation from another...

Thanks Nat!

So when Cindy was feeling snowed under I offered

my help...

She needed a bee block made in the Mod Mosaic

design...

I made this one nearly two years ago!

It's still an orphan...

And this is the one I've made for Cindy...

for Emma!

Happy days!

I worked on a number of projects over the last few

days....

Bee blocks for Cindy.....

for the Modern Stitching Bee!

And more hand stitching of my Medallion quilt!

Lots of bias edges! Thankfully they all lined up!

And a little zipper pouch!

more HST triangles in some secret sewing!

And I acquired this wonderful book...

and am planning.....

Couldn't get this photo around the right way, no matter what I did!
with this!

What have you been up to this week?

Sew Seasonal Blog Hop!

Welcome to my day of the Sew Seasonal Blog Hop!

You might see something that will get your Christmas

sewing off to a good start!

Sew Seasonal Blog Hop

I gave you a little sneak peek of what I was making a

few days ago...

It is a paper pieced block...

I trace my block onto drawing paper that is

reasonably see-through!

And sew through the paper...

It does tear away very easily at the end!

I also cut my fabrics to the rough size required before

I start!

Now you can tell what I made, can't you?

I was having so much fun, I made....

not one, but two more!.....

In three different sizes!

I made these into a pillowcase!

Do you want to know why?

When I was growing up in the sixties, we didn't have

Christmas stockings....

A Santa Sack!

We hung a pillowcase from the end of our beds and

that's where Father Christmas left our presents!

It was known as a Santa Sack!

Does that seem weird?

Greedy?

Did anyone else do this?

I'd love to know your thoughts!

Kelsey over @ KelseySews is also 'sewing seasonally'

today!

Be sure to stop by and say hello!

And now a word from our sponsors -
