It's Not Just White!

I decided not to go with white sashing for my Embroider-Bee blocks!

So off I went, without the blocks (duh!), to my LQS to choose a soft dusty

blue.....

And some multi-coloured spot in red, pink, blue and green for corner stones!

I really like how it has come together...

showcasing some of my favourite things!

I think these two blocks, in the top right hand corner of the quilt are my

favourites!

No surprise that they both include the Eiffel Tower!

I'm going to hand quilt this - I think it deserves it!

Happy Sewing!

PS- Did you get my little joke in the title of this post?

  1. Oh it looks fantastic! Looks way more unified than white would have - good call x

  2. I think the blue ties it all together nicely too. It's good to be a rebel sometimes!

  3. Great choice!! Sometimes white can be too... white! Love the spotty cornerstones. They add bubbly fun but still let the blocks do the talking. Those blocks Suz are little works of art! I would have a different favourite every time I looked.

  4. You are such a w-ascally w-abbit! Your embroidery is fantastic...love the little dress/pinafore and the feather is lovely! I applaud you for having cornerstones that actually meet their mark. I am usually fiddling with those to get them to match! Looks great!

  9. Love the quilt and the embroidery. I am not a big fan of white in quilts. It can be very stark (and unforgiving for quilting), unless it's a white quilt:

  10. I'm also a fan of the Eiffel tower fabric and yes, this quilt looks very deserving of hand quilting. And no, I didn't get the joke in the title. I hate to admit what an idiot I am, but I'm just not getting it. Once you fill me in, I just know I'll have one of those DOH! moments!
