I now have 55 blocks.
I will probably stop at 56,
otherwise I would need 63.
I don't think I have the enthusiasm for another 7!
I think there is an ice-cream there that didn't get a photo of its own! |
I'm now playing around with ideas for the sashing....
This last block I sent to my friend Elizabeth in the US,
Happy days!

I love that sashing - it's going to look fantastic! Can't wait to see it all put together.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are amazing!! This quilt is going to be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed seeing all these blocks, they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post. Very cheerful blocks!
ReplyDeleteThese all look so amazing. I love my block!! So thank you very much for that, my dear Chuck-Nohara friend! I think I would stop, too. Time for other fun stuff to invade the mind, right?
ReplyDeleteThese are so wonderful Suz. I love the colours you've been using and your choices for sashing look just right!
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful and addicting, now I know why I told my friend yesterday that I will do Lucy Kingwell's Smitten quilt with her which is way out of my comfort zone. My pattern and paper pieces have been ordered and I have you to thank and to think about when I'm making these blocks. Let's hope they'll be happy thoughts of you. I, too, can't wait to see the lovely finish of your Chuck Nohara quilt.
ReplyDeleteSome beautiful blocks there Susan. Are you going to keep this quilt when it's completed?
ReplyDeleteI am really impressed with the amount of work that has gone into all of these blocks.Good luck with the next stage.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are absolutely wonderful, love to see them together.
ReplyDeleteWow - that represents a lot of work! I don't remember the beginning of this quilt (must have been during my hermit stage), so it has been interesting watching the blocks appear. You will have to give me the background story some time.
ReplyDeleteNice one.
ReplyDeleteYour another posting on Blocks is wonderful.

Oh, that is so "Chuckish" and I love those mice.
ReplyDeleteTest....did this fix it? x
ReplyDeleteI really adore all of your Chuck Nohara blocks!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this set! Fifty-six looks like a good number, and when they are photographed all together like that, I can see how your colour scheme gels.
ReplyDeleteI will be watching your sashing plans with interest. I plan to make about 50 (49, 56?) Splendid Sampler blocks and need sashing/layout ideas too!
I admire all your chick blocks and the hand stitching. I'm impressed actually. I'm not a hand stitcher but love your tenacity.
