Bubbles of Love quilt

This is my fourth finish for the quarter,

 first shown here

It's a difficult quilt to photograph...

Maybe because there's not much colour contrast?

I traced around a couple of shapes

(that seemed to do the trick)

with a hera marker,

not wanting to use any 'ink' on the delicate fabric.

Backed with white flannelette and bound with this....

another recently re-homed fabric!

Finished size- 40" square

And another finish for my FAL!

Original list here

Happy sewing!

  6. Beautiful and delicate. Sorry but I thought it before I saw that Kirsty said it. I love that you hand quilted it.

  10. So beautiful, and it looks positively "huggable!" After summer brights every here, this soft coloring is so appealing--love it, Susan. Bravo to you.

  12. Happy for you to be on track for your quarterly finish along. It's always good to get something done, as we both know. This quilt looks very delicate. I've never made a quilt with these fabrics, but I'm sure you made the right call by not wanting to mark quilting lines on it. Your circles are pretty, and always a winner when perle cotton is used. I'm thinking to hand quilt my entry in the latest Michael Miller Luxe fabric Challenge. Of course, I don't have the right color of perle cotton on hand! Isn't that always the way it goes, even when one "stashes" as I do? Bet this quilt is for your new bub.
