Better busy, than bored!

Don't you think?

I have been a busy girl...

making a pin cushion from this 'new-to-me' book.

I started my blouse over the weekend....

At night I hand quilt...

this is going to be a cushion cover.

I have also put together the backing for my

Christmas table runner...

just need to buy some batting!

And finally more 'square in a square' blocks...

starting with a 6.5" block and adding 2" borders.

This is my favourite one so far!

Never any chance of ME being bored!

Happy sewing!

  5. Love the blouse fabric and the blouse - what pattern is it? and hand quilting around the cone flowers is a great way to quilt that fabric, looks gorgeous.

  7. I think a day of boredom would be a nice change of pace right now! But since that is not likely to happen, I will adopt your motto and be happy with my busy days. You do have some great projects to keep you occupied! The blouse is looking very nice! And I love the cover of the book....I need to find that one. I am getting quite a nice stash of quilting books!

  11. Definitely no chance of you being bored! I love every version of that pincushion I see. What is your background fabric? Beautiful hand quilting. And love the backing of your table runner! So run to see our names surrounding that block. What pretty fabric for that last square in a square!

  13. So fun to see your new blouse--can I hire you?

Love also the pincushion and those square-in-a-square blocks! I always have a favorite block or two in my mix, too! I love the red/white backing arrangement of all of our names surrounding the block. That is a lovely arrangement of our bee and since it's your final bee quilt from us, a real keepsake. (Do you think I can ask our Spelling Bee-mates to make signature blocks, too?)

  14. Yes. Very busy!
I enjoy seeing some of the fabrics we both bought at GJ's pop up, like the bright diamonds of your favourite block. I see why that block is a favourite.

  16. Okay. I'm reneging on saying you persevere through a project. Well, you do, but you're a hopper too. :-) These pictures give a REAL view of a day in the life of a quilter, and I love it!

  18. Oh I so agree Susan. I'm never bored either. Too many fun fabrics to play with. I like the fabric combos in your square in square blocks. Seems like a fun way to make pretty fabric combos into blocks. Maybe I should add that to my list too.
