Winter Citrus

is finished!


Seems winter is not!

I took an opportunity to take some photos of my 

latest finish....


but there was an icy wind

and I had to hurry.

A vintage sheet for the backing
Hence some blurry photos!


I pieced and quilted in Aurifil #2310, with a diagonal 

wavy line...

and took a photo of my settings 

so I would know for next time.

I even remembered to quilt my label in this time.


This quilt will be given to my school fair to raffle.


Hopefully someone will snuggle under it next winter!

    It's been hot and smoky from nearby forest fires at my house, a chilly wind would be most welcome. The quilt is lovely!

    Your quilt is beautiful, I think those icy winds have reached tasmania, Its sunny today but the wind is freezing.

    Love the fresh colours in this quilt - I am using the wavy serpentine stitch to do a quilt right now too:)

    I really like the presence of this quilt - calming and with such a warm feel about it! And so nice to see that Aurifil gave you a shout-out! Totally envy your winter weather - it's been a long summer here and I'm ready for some cooling.

    Winter citrus is a great name for it. The yellow gingham binding is a cheery touch too. Very nice

    Oh it looks GREAT!!!! What is the pattern called so I can file this away? I love that you take pics so you can refer to the settings in the future! I used to write it down on a post it note that I'd invariably lose by the time I needed it again. Brilliant idea!!! The squiggle stitching adds a lot of movement.

    I love your quilt, lots of fun fabrics and the quilting is just perfect. Thanks for taking a photo of your settings for your machine since I have the same one and will be sure to use it. We're experiencing hot humid weather and remembered that it's Winter down under. Stay warm!
