Winter Citrus

is finished!

Seems winter is not!

I took an opportunity to take some photos of my

latest finish....

but there was an icy wind

and I had to hurry.

A vintage sheet for the backing

Hence some blurry photos!

I pieced and quilted in Aurifil #2310, with a diagonal

wavy line...

and took a photo of my settings

so I would know for next time.

I even remembered to quilt my label in this time.

This quilt will be given to my school fair to raffle.

Hopefully someone will snuggle under it next winter!

Happy days!

SUZ

  1. It's been hot and smoky from nearby forest fires at my house, a chilly wind would be most welcome. The quilt is lovely!

  7. Nice work, Suz! I'm sure it will do very well for the school's raffle. It might even be needed for snuggling this year, if Melbourne keeps up its current form :((

  23. This is beautiful, Susan. I love the interplay of oranges and limes and brights--reminds me of the trees outside our window. Your school is a lucky beneficiary!

  27. Oh it looks GREAT!!!! What is the pattern called so I can file this away? I love that you take pics so you can refer to the settings in the future! I used to write it down on a post it note that I'd invariably lose by the time I needed it again. Brilliant idea!!! The squiggle stitching adds a lot of movement.
