Well done on a finish, Suz! And well done on reaching half way with the small world - not an easy feat with all those little pieces. I love your low volume sky, it looks really great. I'm looking forward to seeing all the small worlds at the end of the quilt along!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt you have finished as a gift. So simple but very effective.
ReplyDeleteGreat work on the next panel and well done on reaching the half way mark. Is that the hard part done?
I can't believe how quick you are with the My Small World.
ReplyDeleteI've barely started.
Oh wow, you've been busy. Love your gift quilt. The star looks like it's crocheted. Fantastic effect.
ReplyDeleteit's coming along well............
ReplyDeleteWow! Your Small World is coming together! It's incredible! I love all the fun diamond shapes and half square triangles! Such whimsy!
ReplyDeleteYour small world is beautiful, as is your other quilt. No need to worry about small points unless you are planning to attach a magnifying glass to the quilt.
ReplyDeleteSweet finish! And wow you are moving quickly on the small world quilt! It's looking terrific!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I'm loving your small world quilt.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on making it to the half way mark. Your gift quilt is so pretty, I like the way you've used solids but then a patterned fabric for the star, it gives it a great textural look.
ReplyDeleteI love the texture on the star, great idea to pebble on top of the dotted fabric. Your MSW quilt is coming along nicely, I can see from your photos that my brain will get a nice workout figuring some things out :)
ReplyDeleteYou are racing through your 'small world' quilt. Chopped off points are normal for me, I think something is wrong if mine work. LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That is one wicked Y seam. Looks fabulous . Enjoy the rest
ReplyDeleteThe solids quilt is lovely. Small World - fabulous! Love your colours and the Comma flowers in the sky.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching that halfway point on the Small World quilt! That's an accomplishment to be proud of--and something to spur you on for the rest of the project. I love the way it's coming together!
ReplyDeleteI love your gift quilt - the backing is fantastic and really works well with the solids on the front :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish! I'm still amazed at how quickly you are zipping through the Small World quilt along!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how far along you are with Small World! I'm technically a co-host (ahem) and have only been looking at fabric to make some choices. In my defense, I'm going to claim lack of time as our 7-year-old grandson was in the hospital most of last week. I really REALLY need to get started!!
ReplyDeleteYou are choosing such great prints for the buildings. I can see why geese and Y-seams might be wearing the patience down somewhat.
ReplyDeleteThe finish is so simple and lovely. And that work in progress?! Oh my - art in progress! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am loving what you've done so far with your "My Small World"!!!! I haven't started mine, but I hope to next week. And I will be "creeping" your blog for pointers...I'm going to need all the help I can get ;-))))
ReplyDeleteCatching up with my blog reading and I can see I have a lot of catching up to do in the sewing and quilting business. This Small World is looking great. Your star quilt is also lovely--I love the texture of the quilting in the center of the star--really terrific!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth
I love that texture in the star.
