I will admit straight off-
I was stumped on a theme
for May!
(In my best teacher's voice....
"Must do better!")
So I've gone all 'arty-farty' on you!
Imagine these are modern paintings...
at an Art Show!
Miro, Klee, Matisse?
I chose the binding because it reminds me
of paint splashes,
and the backing is appropriate, don't you think?
Here is the Autumn group together....
and all six in the series so far!
I seem to have forgotten the quilting along the bottom section too! |
Really must do better!
Happy sewing!
Happy sewing!
SUZ
A little post-binding quilting and thread burying will sort that out quick smart. I can't believe you have 6 already ....where is this year going?
ReplyDeleteI like the art theme! I'll make sure I visit an art gallery this month.
ReplyDeleteSo fun and colorful. The art theme is good.
ReplyDeleteThese are so much fun! I love them all. How fun to have a planned change for each month. Keep going girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteI was stumped back in March, so I think you are doing brilliantly.
ReplyDeleteI almost bought some of that pink frame fabric the other day, but I was being 'good'. :)
I can imagine coming up with themes would be a task, but I think you did great! Very fun. Agree - the binding and backing are perfect!
ReplyDeleteGood for you keeping up with this personal challenge! I fell off my phot challenge after only two months!
ReplyDeleteYou get lots done! These are great
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need to do better, it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great Art Show! Although, I thought you were a tad confused with the Autumn grouping and then I remembered you are on the other side of the globe. And a wee bit south :) I love the 'frame' fabric and I agree with the paint splashy binding! Outstanding execution, Susan!
ReplyDeleteAnother great month! Great art show and must be lovely to look at all throughout the month. Love seeing them all together!
ReplyDeleteThey are great - and I will never tire of our seasons being all at odds!
ReplyDeleteHe he... I'd say you did pretty darn good :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun collection!
ReplyDeleteThis is SUCH a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteMay is definitely a tricky one! To me it means the end of the rainy season and the start of the dry season! I thought you might have gone for a footy theme!! But the art galleries are fun :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your Polaroid series--such inspiration for me to get mine out of the drawer and get going. Yes--I can see "art works" in your May calendar--really fun, Suz!
