Do you ever make a quilt and
not want to be finished with it?

That's how I felt about my Scrappy Sandwiches!
I had machine quilted with twin lines
on either side of the white strip
AND bound it.
when I decided it needed,
and I wanted to...
hand quilt it too!
I used (almost)the last of my
Aurifil #28 wool thread to quilt
the centres of the sandy coloured squares!
And I am really glad I did!

It is wonderful. Look at all those scrappy sandwiches! Love the idea of machine and hand quilting. Lovely effect at the finish.

ReplyDeleteAaah, it's turned out so well! The centres are just perfect, that little bit of white sets off the scraps so nicely. I can see why you're sad to finish. Might have to make another one...I'm sure you have enough scraps ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! This did turn out sooooo well! It is so fun with all the scrappy bright colors and then the neutral sand colored squares! Just genius! The backing is perfect in every way! I do hope this is a keeper...it is so good. A big pat on the back for you!
ReplyDeleteNope - never wished for a quilt not to be over. But I have wished for ones to be already finished without me having to do it. lol. Got a flimsy and a back to baste and quilt but can't be bothered right now.
