I used some of my playtime this week
to finish these....
I was intending to do a spiral
but I'm afraid my skills weren't up to it!
I am happy with it though....
Here's the second one....
with a slight quilting variation
They each finish at about 11"
I think I will make two more....
I have enough scraps, that's for sure!
Sadly playtime for me is over-
it's back to work tomorrow!

These are lovely minis!
ReplyDeleteThey both look lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like the straight line quilting! I love to make mini's like this - so satisfying, especially if your short on time. These are really cute.
ReplyDeleteSweet! Cute backing fabrics too. The straight line quilting looks great and I like the pattern on the second one, it really creates a different look!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely finish! Love the scrappy goodness of these and your marvellous quilting. Go on, make some more....;o)
ReplyDeleteSew very sweet! I really like the echoing square quilting.
ReplyDeleteReally darling! The quilting looks great with the simplicity of the designs. So sorry you have to be back to work now. Hang tough. Savour!
ReplyDeleteLooking lovely.
ReplyDeleteNot long until Saturday!
Your quilting looks perfect! Great little minis - the perfect size for fun sewing.
ReplyDeleteGreat minis! I love the straight lines in stitching, but I have to disagree with you! Your skills are top notch and you are totally up to anything! But your straight lines look great and I love the freshness of the white.
ReplyDeleteThese are both really cute! What will you do with them?
ReplyDeleteThese are both really fun! It's hard to believe theyre so small. Looking forward to seeing the next 2, I can just see 4 hanging on a wall.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what some simple squares can do! Especially mini squares. These are so fun!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I love them just as they are!
ReplyDeletefun makes, and nice and colourful :-)
ReplyDeleteYay, don't you love taking left over bits and making them into something cool like this? I love the colour gradations in the second one, especially. And I actually think the square quilting in the first one really suits it. But I'm contrarian like that ;)
ReplyDeleteI especially like the second one, with the graduated colour effect. I forced myself to make a baby quilt from my scraps over Easter too. I hope my attempt turns out half as well.
ReplyDeleteI think your quilting really compliments them ; )
ReplyDeleteOh these turned out so cute. I especially like the second one.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing how everyone uses their scraps.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you chose and the white background-- great modern look:)
ReplyDeleteThey look fantastic - and I think the quilting on both is perfect. So fun!
ReplyDeleteThe quilting was PERFECT for the quilt. Fantastic choice ;)
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely little minis. Great fabrics!!
ReplyDeleteLove these two little quilts! I think you are so clever to use up your scraps so creatively. I really like the second one, with the movement of colors from saturated to soft. Lovely!
