Playing...

When I showed you these scraps,

I intended to play with them!

And this is the result....

the back...

the back first, before I ironed it!

This measures just 11 and 1/4 inches.

As does this one!

the back...

I'm thinking of either combining them into a mini,

I even like the angles of the seams in this one...
with another one.

Or should I keep them separate?

I have plenty more of these scraps to play with,

 in the meantime!

Happy sewing!

  2. Wonderful! I'd keep them seperate and keep playing to see what other formations you come up with.

  4. oooh, got enough for nine blocks? 3 x 3 set up. I could see a starburst pattern with your second block as the centre, then 4 of your first block as each diagonal corner, then another 4 blocks in the centre of each edge.
    Lotta work though, sorry!

  6. I think keep them separate too. I wonder how many different combinations you can come up with.

  7. Ohhhhh! I love these! And how tiny! I think you should keep them separate as well. It is a series. Isn't it fun to just play around without any worry of getting it right!

  8. So very fun. I'd keep them separate but it might depend on what the rest of your little pile turns into.

  9. Those are so cute! What tiny pieces. I like the above comment of the starburst. You could also make a few more and frame them in white and then put them together into a table topper or wall ganging. I think if you keep them separate you may loose them.
I look forward to seeing what else becomes of those pretty scraps.

  15. What fun! If you made some more you could piece them into a much larger quilt.

  16. So cool Susan! I'm torn, I like them separate but also like the idea of a bunch of them made into a larger project!

  19. I love those tiny pieces. I would keep them separate or make another of each and then combine them.

  20. Cute, cute, cute! They look like a pillow back and front. You could do that and call it done... if you're wanting to move on to something else.

  21. You played well! They are both really effective in their own ways and I think 'keep them separate' .. but what do I know! You will decide the right thing. ;) xCathy

  22. Very clever! I love the first, like mini shadow boxes. It will be interesting to see what you make from the next batch of scraps.

  24. Love both, but very fun to keep them separate. I can't wait to see what they came from (their mother-ship block). You may have started a new trend!
