since I've had any 'real' sewing to show!
I am desperately trying to finish
"(Melbourne) City Skyline"...
|
At least I have the binding ready! |
for my son for Christmas!
But I have finished...
my bunny dress!
|
McCalls pattern #6600 |
(Shhh...don't tell them it's not Easter yet!)
And started a summer blouse!
it's like a Japanese cotton gauze!
It's the first time I have used
a pattern from this book.
But I think there will be many more!
And lest you think I don't have much
colour in my life...
this is what I was wearing today!
Happy days!SUZ
Rockin' the yellow, Suz, very nice.
ReplyDeleteI love your bunny dress, it says Melbourne to me, but with its tongue stuck out. It's just fantastic.
I would really like to sew some summer tops too, so will be keen to see how you go with that book. There are certainly some really cute things popping up here and there using those patterns. Happy sewing!
I'm very envious of the bunny dress and your ability to wear yellow!
ReplyDeleteYou're bunny dress is fabulous and I love those shoes especially with the ring!
ReplyDeleteLove the yellow and that bunny dress!
ReplyDeleteYou and Mary have bunnies on the brain x
That bunny dress is wonderful! I love shirt dresses! You did such a nice job on it. And your top will be lovely in that fabric. Of course I adore that quilt....I like the little umbrella fabric!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress!! And you know how much I love your quilt!
ReplyDeleteReady to bind that quilt and still five days left to Christmas--you are certainly staying on top of things! I'm remain impressed by your ability to keep on track and get things done. And that shirt dress....too cute!
ReplyDeleteI love that dress. It will look so good on you. Good luck finishing the quilt
ReplyDeleteSo close on the quilt! Can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to do some garment sewing for a change, isn't it? I used to make all my own clothes. Now, I just enjoy making skirts and simple dresses... just as you have. Truly love those shoes though! Is it a brand name I can find in the US? Your quilt's going to be great. Are you stumped as to how to quilt it? Or just trying to find the time?
ReplyDeleteOh, what fun you have been having! I just know that I would love that dress and the top too! What pattern did you use for the dress? Love the shoes..but they might look funny in the snow we're expecting tomorrow!! LOL Looks like the binding is already to go once you are ready for it...that's how I like to roll as well. Happy weekend sewing, Suz!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking about this quilt and how you were getting on with it. As the Modern Sampler QAL comes to a close, I was pondering whether I would ever use the book again... then turned to the Skyline pattern and thought, yip, if Susan ever lets me start another quilt - it could well be that one :0)
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing the quilt, it is my favourite colours of all the city blocks quilts. I love your yellow shoes, and the new dress is cool.
ReplyDeleteOh your post made me smile! I cannot remember the last time I made clothes. I use to love too. I just love your dress and cannot wait to see your blouse. Love your outfit for the day, so bright and fun. Good luck with getting your quilt done! Happy Holidays
