Yes, it's that time for all teachers
in the Southern Hemisphere....
corrections, report writing,
prize nights and transition meetings!
prize nights and transition meetings!
Sewing time has been rather infrequent...
but when I saw on FB
there was a free Kindle download to be had...
I could't resist!
I had the ideal fabric,
sent by my + and X friend, Carla...
It's not that I needed another pincushion!
But the little thread catcher was perfect
for 'couch surfing sewing'!
I definitely need a place for my loose threads!
That is brilliant Susan! With my recently found addiction to hand sewing, I most definitely need to make me one of those - thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea. May have to make me one too :-)
ReplyDeleteE
Thank goodness for quick and useful projects in busy times :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and looks fab!!
ReplyDeletethis is fantastic - I leave threads all over the sofa at the moment after hand sewing in the evenings. May have to just find some extra time to try to make one!
ReplyDeletesuch a cute thread catcher! love your fabrics.
ReplyDeletegood luck with all your homework
That is so cute. I have the pattern in her book. I hope you are through all the grading and such soon.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! It is so nice of you to come up with a way to lighten the load on Mr. PnP! Lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little project for that quick sewing fix!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and love the lining fabric too! I'm glad my marking days are over ;-)
ReplyDeleteHehe I have seen these around blogland, I am constantly surrounded by threads, maybe I should make one!
ReplyDeleteThis will definitely save time vaccuming! I love the fabrics you've chosen. Have fun getting through the testing times.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I did before Krista gave ma a thread catcher (well I do, it was messy!) xxx
ReplyDeleteI actually saw one of these made up this wkend. Just love this style. Thanks for sharing...
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see how you've made good use of that lovely charm pack from Carla. Such a practical thing to make, especially since it appears you're well stocked with pin cushions! So sorry to know about your extra workload now. I hope this busy spell passes quickly.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you so quickly found a use for the little baby charms, Susan. I should make one of those to save MYSELF some vacuum time!
ReplyDeleteLove this Susan......I can certainly make use of a pin cushion like this. I do a lot of sewing on the couch. Marie (mlismore@optusnet.com.au)
ReplyDeleteI need one of those, and a great way to use the charms.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the marking, hope it goes quickly.
Cute!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that! Anything is better than pesky pins and threads on the floor!
ReplyDeleteOh Krista gave me one of those in London. They are fantastic and yours is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Good luck with all that end of year stuff.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I'm lucky that (a) I'm not a teacher and (b) my kids are still too young to be worried about end of year "stuff". Very cute thread catcher/pin holder... I'm sure Mr PnP was impressed!
ReplyDeleteYour thread catcher/pincushion combo is beautiful made and bright and cheery too. End of school year will sneak up on us all too soon.
ReplyDeletethat's where I really need a thread catcher, by my chair in the family room. Thanks for the idea. Cute little idea!
ReplyDeleteHope you made it through all the exams and can now relax and put that cute pin cushion/thread catcher to good work now!
