that's how I describe hand sewing the binding
onto a quilt.....
It is a labour of love
as I get up close and personal
with the fabrics, design and stitching again!
So a finish is imminent...
as I enjoy the hand stitching
of the binding of my "Ginger Kisses"....
indeed a labour of love!
Happy sewing...

Gorgeous - love how it is turning out. If the binding is the exclamation mark, the quilting is the icing on the cake.
ReplyDeleteExactly the way I feel! I love hand stitching the binding :) Your very traditional hand quilting looks wonderful on this quilt. I need to pick a project to quilt with cotton thread rather than perle....it has been so long....
ReplyDeleteSusan, I love the glimpse of the quilting - it looks like it really was worth the time you spent. I'm really looking forward to this reveal! What a lovely description of the binding process.

ReplyDeleteI love the handling of the quilt during the binding, too, Susan. I'm so excited to see your finish...I adore this patttern! Have i told you how crazy I am about the DS fabric that you used for the centers on the quilt...it's my favorite print in the line...love the other colors too, but the aqua is my fav!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, can't wait to see Ginger Kisses in its finished state. I'm another one who enjoys the slow stitching of the binding.
