The exclamation at the end of the sentence....

that's how I describe hand sewing the binding

onto a quilt.....

It is a labour of love

as I get up close and personal

with the fabrics, design and stitching again!

A sneak peek of some of the quilting..

So a finish is imminent...

as I enjoy the hand stitching

of the binding of my "Ginger Kisses"....

indeed a labour of love!

Happy sewing...

  1. Gorgeous - love how it is turning out. If the binding is the exclamation mark, the quilting is the icing on the cake.

  2. Exactly the way I feel! I love hand stitching the binding :) Your very traditional hand quilting looks wonderful on this quilt. I need to pick a project to quilt with cotton thread rather than perle....it has been so long....

  7. I love the handling of the quilt during the binding, too, Susan. I'm so excited to see your finish...I adore this patttern! Have i told you how crazy I am about the DS fabric that you used for the centers on the quilt...it's my favorite print in the line...love the other colors too, but the aqua is my fav!

  16. I machined the binding on my last quilt due time constraints but it felt like I was letting the quilt down. Can't wait to see the finished quilt.
