My First Bee.....

I have never been in a bee before.....

Well, not a regular one!

I did swap embroidery blocks on a couple of 

occasions last year or the year before....

I'm pretty excited to be participating in this bee...

(aka "Modern Stitching Bee"!)

August is Leanne's month and she requested....

Grannies, with a border!

I made this one before I realised she wanted 

scrappy...


That'll teach me to not read the instructions 

carefully....

This, however, is an official one!


and this one too....


I hope Leanne enjoys them as much as I enjoyed 

making them for her!

  4. Congrats on the bee! I'm in Modern Blocks Been, Always Bee Learning, & do.Good Stitches. I love the scrappy grannies - maybe even better than the regulars!

  9. They're so nice, I do love the grannies. No bees here either, but I'd like to try one at some stage (maybe when the kids are a bit older and I get some more time). They look like a lot of fun!
